Ironhide and Ratchet didn't know what Optimus and the Ariealbots were talking about after they got back to the present so Ironhide can't be Dion or he would have remembered being there.

Ultra Magnus I think allready has a backround of being Magnus, getting damaged, and being rebuilt with the armor. (isn't that why he's never show without the armor?)

Don't mean to go off subject but what idiot came up with the name "civil" war? There's nothing "civil" about it.

There is, just not in the sense of "civility". It's a "civilization" war, since it is a war between different factions of a single nation, or in this case, planet. No outside invasion.

I actually would of preferred Ultra Magnus to get it, I liked him both better as character, and his design. He would of turned into a better looking replacement for Prime.

A line I always feel is unfairly used against Ultra Magnus. When he says it, he is trying to make sure everyone onboard his ship survives against very difficult odds. He doesn't say it to be flippant or uncaring. He quite literally cannot deal with it at that time.

Anyway, back on topic, I find myself changing my mimd about which name I prefer all the time, but generally come down on the side of Optronix.

Another way to think of it is Orion Pax was injured and rebuilt by Alpha Trion as Optronix, who eventually got the Matrix and became Optimus Prime. Just a way to bodge together continuities really.

Altough I am a TransFan, I didnt pay attention to what he was called before, but I like the name Orion Pax. But Pax stands for unity, so he was some kind aUnifier before?. Well maybe because he unified All Autobots to raise arms and fight?.

The name loosely translates as 'peace hunter'.
I like the idea of him being rebuilt as Optronix then Optimus as well.
