Gahh, people are so F'ing stupid/overly cautious. The bloody thing is packed in robot mode for cripes sake. I'm sorry for all the Australian fans who had theirs seized.

You know, I should be offended you compare my government to the Nazi party, but I was thinking about things before and they really are doing a damn good job of cracking down on our freedoms.
Gun laws are extremely strict here, personally that doesn't bother me.
What bothers me is the censorship. It's pretty hard to get some damn good porn, but that aside, they do NOT have a adult rating for games, meaning the highest rating for computer games is MA15+ and anything that doesn't meet that level is simply banned.
And then there's the attempt by the Federal government to control the internet (I know, next to impossible but they're having a go anyway). The latest idea is to have ISP's monitor your downloads and if they find you downloading copyrighted material (eg, music) then your internet and telephone services will be cut. Yeah, sure, make the ISP's into cyber-police.

Anyhoo ... couple of links.

Sorry to hear that. It stinks when your personal freedoms get restricted. And it's scary when the government establishes watch groups like Big Brother.

I would like to mention how easy it is to buy swords, as in Katanas, here in AUS, I have seen people walk in and get one, no ID, no criminal check, nothing. These are much more dangerous than a plastic toy. This is pathetic and degrading.

Quite true, though that does depend on which state you live in. I'm in NSW, and I've had no problems having any of my many swords come through customs. In Victoria though, you need to do much the same thing with swords as you do with MP Megs. Not too sure about other states though.
Then again, I had no problems getting MP Megs through customs. Hit and miss I guess?

Ironic and disturbing. It should be the other way around. At least its not a ban.

How great is it when you recieve a package, but your not home when it arrives, and no one tells you one came? Its just so great. The package that arrived as a matter of fact was MP-05! Woo Hoo!!!!
It took me a long time to transform the bugger, like 45 mins. I didn't want to break him, his joints were so stiff! Oh boy, he looks so great next to Mp-01, 02, & 03!!! So so happy!
Well worth the wait! When I heard bout the confiscation, i was pretty worried, but that happed after it came yesterday!
OH boy oh boy oh boy, this baby is sososo awesome! Ha Ha!

When you buy one MP-05 and eventually transform it into gun mode, you can use it to hold up the store and take all the other MP-05s. Unless, of course, the store workers immediately recognise the fakeness of your gun and pwn you.
Another thought - why don't people disguise real guns as die-cast Transformers and smuggle them around?! Mac-10-imus Prime?!

Well, I'm not in Australia, but this story makes me feel really lucky that I got my MP-05 from A3U - uncapped too.

Sounds like we need to alter their training to make them think instead of making their job easier so they could hire stupider people to enforce the law... and kill innocent people.

Don't be offended, it's happening in any land thats called a Democracy... You gotta understand, the rules for the world are literally etched in stone.

Effective sword range= 3m; Effective shooting range= >10m
If someone sneaks up on you with Katana, we'll call it Natural Selection.

Liberals/Conservatives... Two sides of the same coin. It's funny, just because you get the illusion of choice, you feel that its not your sides fault for all the problems.
Gun Control allows the Government to get all uppity on its citizens rights without fear of retaliation from said unarmed citizens. Very Nazi-like.
Question...
Have you ever seen a store with the "No Weapons" sign on its door?
Have you ever seen a store with the "Weapons Allowed" sign on its door?
Which store would you try to rob?
Common sense people... Guns Are Needed!
Nobody wants to be shot, not even criminals. The greater the fear of getting shot or killed, the more likely you are to mind your P's and Q's.
Some people don't care, so I won't when I put them down for threatening Me, My Family or My Property.

Fixxxed.

Not that the Labour government would do much better. And for the record, I can't help but take a shot at the Liberals, it's genetic, my father is a staunch Labour supporter and I fight hard each day to just blindly go along with him.

They actually seeked permission before importing him. I ordered through them and they told me yesterday it is on it's way up to me from Vic.
They're sold out now but they have said that they will be doing another run soon. Might be best to hang tight and go through them, instead of braving the Australian customs Gauntlet.
