Busy waiting and speculating but despite the concept photoshop pic by the Tomy designer, how exactly would you prefer him to transform?
Via the old school battle armor type clip on like the Macross style armor on VF1J? Read that the designer is taking cues on how FP implemented it or the IDW style without a core white "naked" MP-10 figure?
Your thoughts?

I'd prefer the incorporated version like the Titanium figure
Either way, i'll still be buying him

I'd appreciate the effort to incorporate the trailer in the transformation.
I don't mind the parts forming so much but i have the FP version already and it is a bit tedious to transform.
I'm sure MP UM would be fine done like that but would also be mega expensive i would believe. You'd pay full price for an MP OP then the extra dough for the trailer on top of that more than likely.

I prefer the old school white prime and trailer armor.

Seperate cab that combines with his trailer. Dreamwave established that there is just a white robot underneath the armour and IDW have twisted it into being one whole suit of armour with a smaller bot inside.

I prefer that method better too Burn. And changing UM into a title is just soooooo way out there.

I'd rather it was like the G1 show. With no white inner robot and the cab just being part of the overall transformation. They got close with Titanium and that was ages ago, a smaller scale and a much smaller price point.
The current placeholder price of $250 on BBTS points to it just being MP10 with armour, though. Which I'm fine with, as its how the original toy was done.
As long as the finished robot oozes '86 Magnus, its all a-ok.

And by doing it that way it's an easy step to a Diaclone Convoy exclusive.
Here's hoping though we still get Urine Coloured Ultra Magnus.

I really should track down the G1 version for the collection some day.

I would like him to have all the parts incorporated. I don't like the inner-robot-with-armor idea.
