I had to work on Saturday but I was at least able to hang out Friday night and attend Sunday. It was a real pleasure to meet Flux Convoy, Mkall and Dead Metal (briefly since he was on his way to a panel). And it was nice to see Ryan and Delicon again.
I got to hang out with Mike Costa a bit and looked for some figures with him.
I talked to Andy Schmidt about a Generation 2 collections from IDW. He says it might be and doesn't see why not. However, he's not sure how it would even be collected because G2 eventually crosses over with GI Joe.
He also told me that the new Classic Transformers volumes are recolored and will include the entire Marvel run, even the Marvel owned characters like Spider-Man and the Neo Knights. Looks like I'm double dipping on those collections *sigh*
At the Hasbro IP panel, I was most excited for the upcoming Transformers 3D ride at Universal Studios and they showed a quick trailer. It should be awesome.
At the Transformers Prime panel, I was able to walk up to Roberto Orci and tell him how much I dig Alex Kurtzman and his work.
I was most impressed with the Kree-O figures. It looks like they figured out how to make block Transformers look good unlike those Built to Rule toys (ugh). Those Lego inspired mini-figures of Optimus and Bumblebee look great.

I love the giant displays of Optimus Prime and Megatron made up of block pieces.

Closer details

And they gave away exclusive Optimus toys with the Matrix in his chest.

Cars from the movie were on display...

Starscream is one of the most epic costumes I've ever seen.

The Unicron Amazon exclusive toy looks amazing.

I loved this diorama...

I felt this Beast Wars manga was overpriced.

These custom matryoshka dolls were awesome!

The upcoming Prime figures look awesome. I'll have to pick those up.

As for the haul...
I've always wanted the book style Takara reissue of Megatron. It's alluded me for the past several years. I always saw it for around $90 but by the time I came back to buy it, it was already bought or the shop went out of business. I snagged it for $115, not too crazy but I'm glad to have it. I had a G1 Megatron as a kid but lost it years ago.

Picked up Shout Factory's Beast Wars box set. Can't wait to dig into that series again. Beast Machines will probably be in the works if this box set sells like hotcakes.

The non-Transformers score was a DC Classics Jack Knight variant. I'm reading Starman and I had to have this figure.

I also picked up David Willis' Shortpacked paperbacks, which I can't wait to read.
Good times.
