depends on the wood though. Glass can be heavy, a screwed on door to cheap wood wont take it. Maybe a sliding glass door then...
You can buy plastic tracks or grooves, then glue it or screw on to the shelves. That's where the thin glass will slide on.

I coulda sworn the one I saw at the comic store was bigger than 18x24, looked like more like 3-4 feet long, atleast in my memory.
