Need asistance. Chrome restoration

I just got G1 Devastator today and Long haul has some noticable crome wear on the legs. It's visible when as the lower torso component to Devastator. What paint/mixtures should I use to fix up the paint?

Weapon: Sword
Good luck. I have yet to see a good way to restore chrome. Please share if anyone has an economica way to do this.

unless you know somebody who has the ability to chrome plastics, you'd be better off buying a new Longhaul figure with better chrome.

There is a paint/spray on substance known to us kitbashers called "alclad". It comes in chrome, gold, and gold leaf (real gold from 10 karat to 24 karat).
I have used the chrome alot of times and comes out beautiful if used properly. The alclad is not cheap mind you, but good for fixing chrome wear.

First spray a high gloss black coat over desired object. Then spray on alclad. allow 24 hrs. to dry and voila. DO NOT get it on your skin. It will not come off no matter what you do.

Were can I find this "alclad?" Is it found in a hobby store or is it something I'll have to purchase online?
