Need recommandation for an Optimus easy to transform
Sorry for my bad English, its not my native language.
I'm looking for an Optimus prime for my 6 years old boys. He got a G1 Optimus and love it because hes really easy to transform. But now he really want the Optimus from the movie ... I start looking for one via youtube video and the only "easy to transform" I saw is that little "Transformers Prime Cyberverse: Optimus Prime". A larger model similar to that Optimus would be perfect. Anyone have a recommendation ?
PS. Found "Robots in Disguise - Deluxe Prime Bumblebee" ... that toy is perfect for my boy in therm of size and complexity.

Welcome to Seibertron.
The Movie Optimus Primes are quite complex.
I'd probably suggest a Robots in Disguise Voyager Prime Optimus Prime

Though his arms can be a little tricky.
Other than that, if you can find one (he's from an older line so he may be harder to find), Transformers Animated Optimus Prime is quite easy to transform, and looks pretty good.

A toy that's kind of like G1 Optimus Prime is the one from the The Battle Begins 2-pack:

Transforms almost like the G1 toy, with the addition of twisting the waist. He also comes with a punching gimmick, which lets his upper body spin. The best part about this toy is that no parts lock in place except for the legs, so your son won't be needing any assistance in prying pieces loose.
He should be easy to come by, as he's been re-released several times, the last time was only 2 years ago. Mind if I ask what your original language is and where you're from?

I'm french Canadian from Quebec.
Thank you for the suggestion "Robots in Disguise Voyager Prime Optimus Prime" I saw it on youtube but unfortunately it might be a little tricky to transform some section. As for the Animated Optimus Prime, ill go check what he look like in truck form but the robot form is good enough, I'm sure he would love it.
Me and my boy watch old transformer cartoon (G1) and he love transformers. So one day, a good friend of mine decided to send my boy a present, his first transformers ... an Optimus G1 (KO). He was very happy so I bough a few "New transformers" and quickly realize that most of them was too complex to transforms for him

Here a video when he receive his first transformers ... as you can see hes a big fan

If the larger toys are too difficult for him, then maybe you could look into the Cyberverse range. The figures are only 3 to 4 inches tall, but feature very simple transformations compared to larger toys, and the line even has vehicles for them to interact with.
Even better, there are a few that are styled after G1 characters and more are coming up, those are in the Generations line.

Animated Optimus Prime, is a flatnosed (cab over engine) truck though rather than the Long nose from RID or the Movies.

If he really likes the Movieverse Prime, and you want a REALLY simple figure for him to transform, there's always (from the first movie line) Fast Action Battler Optimus Prime:

Re: Need recommandation for an Optimus easy to transform
some of the newer toys can be a bit tricky. I'll second the recommendation of the Classics Deluxe 2-Pack Prime. The truck mode isn't the best, but he transforms well and a cool gun. Sculpting is nice and plenty of articulation. I think the worst thing about him is the size. If he were Voyager he'd be my main Optimus.
The Megatron he comes with is pretty fun too. He's got a spinning gimmick that should appeal to kids (it appealed to the big kid in me) and is a pretty decent tank. Not very G1 though, sadly.
Cyberverse is a good suggestion too, as there are a few vehicles/playsets out, and some of the toys are really fun. Cliffjumper from the TF Prime line is highly recommended. Going back there are some G1 styled Legends, including a little gun Megatron and there are all sorts of movie, Prime and G1 styled Optimus Primes in that scale.
Another line to think about might be the Botshots series. There's loads of different characters, and the transformations are very simple (I don't have any but they appear to auto morph using a pull back and go motor thing). Characters seem to be based on a mix of G1 and Movie casts and designs, so could allow some imaginative play for a child.
If he likes building blocks, like LEGO (but not too like LEGO to be legally actionable) there are the Kre-o sets. Mostly G1 type designs with some movie stuff in there too, but branching into Prime with the Beast Hunters series, each kit comes with a mini-figure or two and these are sold separately too for a small price, maybe giving your son something to save up pocket money for, if that's still a thing?

assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

Re: Need recommandation for an Optimus easy to transform
Honestly, this version of Movie Optimus Prime is fairly straightforward to transform: http://www.seibertron.com/vsd/character ... rime/4528/
There's not too much on that version that's too hard to come to grips with and besides the leg transformation, everything is pretty obvious if you look at his underside.

If he doesn't mind other Primes from other continuity, FOC Optimus Prime is fairly easy to transform and looks good! Also it should be easy to find too.

yeah Fall Of Cybertron is a good pick.
stay well clear of War For Cybertron Optimus though, 28years of transforming robots under my belt and he had me stumped a couple of times.

Re: Need recommandation for an Optimus easy to transform
Thank you for all the suggestion. Yeah I think ill have to ether go for the Animated series or with "smaller" model like the FOC and Cyberverse.
The walmart in my area have a clearance sell and most cyberverse go for like 5$ each, so I think ill try to grab 2-3 figure and see if my boy like smaller transformer.
I must admit that it was probably the best option for a "big" movie Optimus Prime but I doubt I'll found one at decent price

RID Prime Weaponizer Optimus Prime is very big and pretty easy to transform. If your kid can handle RID Prime Bumblebee he should have no problem at all with Weaponizer Optimus.
Plus he's still fairly likely to be sitting on a store shelf near you.

Optimus Maximus.
You didn't ask for a good alt mode, you asked for an easy transformation.

I would suggest DOTM voyager Prime, either fireburst or the original, for an easy to transform movie prime; he is not much more complex than prime RID Bumblebee
