Before you laugh, consider this: Sentient vehicles with no sign of any drivers, existing in a world designed around non-organic consumption. Assuming that transformation was a later ability grafted onto pre-existing "Vehicons", the very early Cybertron might have been a bit like the Cars world. Hey-- there's even a red Peterbuilt truck! And doesn't Lightning McQueen remind you of another red hothead racecar?
Okay, you can start laughing now.

Interesting theory but in 5 Faces of the Darkside (What I always called Transformers the mvoie 2 cause I had all episodes of that on VHS), they explain that they all started off as robots and during the fights one of the Autobots created the art of "Transform!"
But I would also like to say that Cars is one of my fav movies and yes Lightning Mcqueen is a little Hot Rodish.

I have no interest in cars, but if they made those characters transform into robots I'd buy em. Kind of like what they did with RC from toy story.

Well, it's an interesting little theory, and I have to say I agree with you to a point. I happened to really enjoy Cars, so seeing that show juxtoposed to Transformers is kinda cool. Pixar? Hasbro? Do I smell a crossover? It'd probably be better than that damned Avengers crossover we heard so many rumors about not too long ago.

You know, I had a dream a week ago that the new Transformer movie came out looking like "Cars."
I was so traumatized when I woke up that I had to add bourbon to my coffee.

Pixar's animation of transformers would look 10x better than any thing beast wars was.

So true. If BW held the nestalgia of G1 then they might have pulled there own movie... perhaps Megtron's conquest of cybertron before BM. just a thought.Fanatical_Magnus wrote:Pixar's animation of transformers would look 10x better than any thing beast wars was.
I'ld prefer a rehash of the 1st movie or maybe 5 Faces of the Darkside.
