theory:
predaking as one of the thirteen original primes specifically logos prime, the first transformer to have a beast mode.

facts:
1. predaking's packaging indicates he originates in cybertron's ancient past
2. being ancient and having a beast mode fit with logos prime's story
3. the series is titled transformers prime and alot of it has dealt with primes and cybertron's ancient history and mythology i.e. optimus prime, alpha trion(prime), megatron's arm's owner, primus, unicron, vector sigma, the matrix, the star saber, the forge
4. the 13 primes were known to be very large as compared to modern transformers and i'd say, given the preview we've seen for next season and the upcoming larger than leader predaking figure, predaking is larger than average
5. in prime season 1 one shall rise pt. 1 where optimus tells the history of the primes and unircron and primus, we see the thirteen and we see that the star saber and the forge are small compared to these guys and they are large compared to modern transformers. we also see pics of primes that look alot like predaking and when the thirteen are all standing around the well of allsparks we see one with wings alot like predaking's

could be way off but it's just an interesting thought i had.

That's because Predacons are the prehistoric species of Cybertron.

we also see pics of primes that look alot like predaking and when the thirteen are all standing around the well of allsparks we see one with wings alot like predaking's

Not seeing anyone with wings like Predaking.

neither of those pics are the scene i was referring to if you look at the youtube link its at 1:27 the dude in the middle has wings unlike the other prime shown in the pics you posted, they are solid wings such as predaking's

and whos to say predaking isnt the origin of the predacons just as, in at least one continuity, the fallen created the decepticons.

The character beside Prima does seem quadrupedal and vaguely dragon-ish... but I was under the impression Logos Prime became a spaceship, if that version of the character is still canon.

Dude, you said the shot where the Prime's were standing around the Well of AllSparks. This is the shot where their standing around the Well of AllSparks. It was the first picture I showed you.

ok i checked and i cant find an image of the scene im talking about but all you have to do is check the video that i provided a link for at the time i indicated. Im not sure how else to show you it. it is the last scene showing the primes as the "camera" pans out and optimus moves on with his story or whatever.

the image that you guys keep showing me occurs first, then the "camera" pans out and thats when you see the dude i mean.

That guy in the middle is Prima raising his arms.

Regarding Logos Prime, Hasbro already had plans for the Thriteen laid out and set in motion by the time Logos Prime came along. Though fans have asked them about it, they seem to have no interest in including Logos Prime in their plans for the Thirteen.

While true, Predaking and the Predacons being in this show came in as a very late decision. The show's creators had a much different direction for the series to go in season 3, but they wound up burning through all their story material within season 2 alone. Hasbro then came in and mandated that season 3 be beast themed, which diverges from the "what it means to be a Prime" theme that the show's creators originally had in mind.

Other large characters exist in this continuity who aren't members of the Thirteen. Omega Supreme, Trypticon, Metroplex, Devastator, Bruticus, Defensor, the newly-revealed Abominus. Even Grimlock's larger than the average Cybertronian, but they're all ordinary guys unconnected to the Thirteen.
