I think I read somewhere that Hasbro's MP Starscream and Skywarp are slightly bigger than Thundercracker. I guess TC is using the current, slightly smaller mold.
Can anyone elaborate on this for me?
Also is the new Acid Storm the same smaller mold as well?
I just picked up TC and if AS is the same mold I may exchange him. Not because I want AS so much but, if I end up with Skywarp and Thundrcracker on the shelf I'll become obsessed with getting Starscream which will not be cheap.
Any info anyone can share on this subject will be much appreciated. Thanks.

they are not smaller, they are all the same size... stop imagining things... i have every seeker made by hastak and they all are the same height, even the new mold

To be fair, it's not even really a new mold, it's more of a remold based on what the original mold was supposed to be. Though the mold pieces are probably all new... So what's a remold that's an entirely new mold based on an old not-mold?

In other words:
So they got it right in the design phase.
Said "Nah, let's make it different."
Eventually realized that was a terrible decision.
And went back to the original design.
Yes, Acid Storm is the MP-11 (re)mold.
But anyway, all of the MP seekers are the same size, the only real difference between the two molds is the handling of the rear plane kibble and the head (the MP-11 version only has one face).

Thanks guys. So to be clear, Hasbro Skywarp and Thundercracker are both the older/remold and Acid Storm is the newer/original mold. Or is TC the new mold as well? I'm more interested in the mold than the character. Thanks again.

Incorrect. Both seekers released in the past year are the newer MP-11 version(with the plane bits on the lower legs). That means TC and Acid Storm are the new mold.
In summation:
Takara has released Starscream, Thundercracker, AND Skywarp in the MP-3 mold.
Hasbro has released (a better) Starscream and Skywarp in the MP-3 mold.
Takara has released MP-11 as Starscream and Sunstorm (both came with the Coronation gear as well).
Hasbro has released MP-11 as TC and Acid Storm.

My Skywarp has been in Jet mode and TC is still in the box. I haven't played with Skywarp in a while so I'm fuzzy on the details. I thought that the hips/legs looked different somehow but I've yet to do a side by side.
I'll have to review the galleries. I'm sure Seiberton has some pics of the two molds together somewhere.
Thanks again.

TC and Skywarp? Hip kibble.
Starscream front and center? No hip kibble.

Well, I decided to keep TC and upon inspection I had noticed he was missing a flap on his wing. So I took him back and had to get Acid Storm.
Not a fan of the character but the mold is awesome. Plus now I'm not compelled to get more repaints to collect the OG3 Seekers. I have both molds now so I'm happy.
Thanks once again guys.
