I have several items preordered from BBTS that are supposed be available in November. My understanding from the BBTS FAQ page is that since I have the POL feature turned on, I have to "release" my items (by clicking a Release button?) when they are in stock. 4 questions:
1) Will they alert me when the items are in stock and remind me I need to "release" them, or do I have to keep logging in and checking their status?
2) Is there a "Pile of Loot" page, or do you look at your POL by just looking at your Preorders?
3) I don't see any "Release" button on my Preorders page. Will it automatically appear when the item(s) are in stock?
4) If several items become available and I "release" them, will they automatically be combined into one shipment, and if so, will my shipping charges be reduced?

You will get an email alerting you that the preordered item is in stock.

There is no POL page. However, once the preordered item is in stock you can see it listed in your account under "Recent Orders." This is right below the View Preorders button. The last line of information is called "Status" and will list "Pile of Loot" as opposed to "Shipped" for your previous orders.

Once the preordered item is in stock, click on the "View" button next to it listed in recent orders. Once you are on that page there is a "Ship My Loot Now!" button in yellow that will do just that. This will not show up until the item is in stock though.

Once you hit "Ship My Loot Now!" it should ship out all of the items in your POL up to that point in one combined shipment to save $$.
So, let's say you have 4 preorders total with 3 coming in Nov. and 1 in Dec. Once the 3 in Nov. come in they will be in your POL. You could choose to ship your loot then and all three will ship together. The last preorder will stay in your POL when it becomes available in Dec. At that point you can either ship it out by itself or let it sit there for up to 6 months (maybe you've preordered something else or anticipate buying something from BBTS again soon...if you have the patience!).
I hope this was helpful! I had the same questions until I recently went through the entire process myself!

Re: Questions about BBTS Preorders and POL
Also keep in mind that you will be charged for your preorders once they are instock, at which point they will automatically be put into your POL.
You do not get to control when you will be charged for an item, but will not be charged until it is instock.
