Recent Transformer Names (and if you could rename someone...)

Has there been a Transformer in recent times that you feel should have gotten a different name? If so, why?

For example, I probably would have called Classics Thunderwing "Skystriker", just so Hasbro can keep the name in circulation. If Hasbro still had the rights to Pokémon, Steel Wind should have been "Steelwing". Since Hasbro does own Magic: The Gathering, Nightscream should have been called "Bladewing".
I'm pretty sure most people think Energon (and Cybertron) Downshift should have been called Wheeljack.

Energon + Cybertron Downshift = Wheeljack

Isn't it obvious?

Energon Mirage and Armade Wheeljack Both Decepticons with Autobot names?

Energon Ironhide..He is a crusty old vet NOT a young surfer punk

I just realized something else.
Both Armada's Tidal Wave and Energon's Shockblast were supposed to represent Shockwave, and the Japanese versions of both were colored and named so to represent that. Why then is the Shockwave name off-limits (even to the Alternator version) when I own a Cybertron Mini-Con with the name Shockwave? Not that I don't like the Mini-Con, but I'm sure people would prefer to call their Energon and/or Alternator Shockblast by that name (on a box).

Speaking of Mini-Cons, Of (Planet) Cybertron's own bonus Mini-Cons, only 2 keep the same name (Strongarm and Knockdown). The other two are renamed (Offshoot to Dirt Rocket, Nightscream to Thunderwing) without a redeco, and I think Offshoot's gender even changes. (Just as well, I'd want a Bugbite light gray and red version renamed Cy-Kill anyway.)

When Shockblast and Tidal Wave came out Hasbro didn't own the rights to the name Shockwave. As soon as they got said rights, they used it right away so as to stake their claim for lack of a better term. At least that's how I understood it...
