Diamond has posted a preview of the upcoming SDCC exclusive G1 Megatron Bust in cartoon colors.

I've never understood the appeal of these. For one thing, it's not a bust. A bust depicts the subject's head and neck, with some of the shoulders, and that's it. If you're going to include the full torso and the arms, then you might as well put the legs on there and call it a statue. And if you're going to make something like this, which doesn't transform and isn't posable, then it should be HIGHLY detailed, but these "busts" always seem to be lacking in details.

I have the original version of this...looks great on a shelf from a distance but i think diamond needs improving of there quality and detail. in all a nice display piece if given as a gift but dont waste your money. Besides, hard heroes busts we so much better (especially if you were looking for cartoon accuracy) :APPLAUSE:

I actually have quite a few of these busts, and I have to say, I like them a lot.

And they are pretty darn detailed. This one is purposely painted 'un-detailed' to look like the animation model. The others are very well painted, and detailed.
