thanx i will definitely get megatron, but i don't have the money now so i will most like to get it around october. just hope it won't go over 200 bucks by then. i really hate to say this i think i prefer to buy it in person despite the outrageous price they given. cuz it's most likely i will break it by accident during the first transformation. after i replace with a new one i will know how to transform it. it is just a hustle to ship the defect meg back to store if i do get it online. sometimes they just won't accept opened packages, if that's the case i'm screwed by then with the broken meg.
here's a video of the guy who had broken his megatron while transforming him, and he's a huge fan and has the most impressive collection i ever seen on youtube. but takara/tomy never reponse to his request nor replace his figure.

LOL  saw that vid months back - what a retard :)

My MP Megs had a ragdoll ankle collapse and fell about four or five feet head first onto the floor... and he's totally fine.

That guy must have not understood which way to apply pressure or something during transformation to snap him in two.

why is starscream the smallest among the masterpiece collection, is that how tall he was in the cartoon? plus i heard people saying megatron is surprising light in weight in terms of robot or gun mode. i assume he's made of entire plastic and a bit of metal?

Starscream is that size because of his jet mode. It's huge in comparison with his robot mode. Megatron is about 15% maybe 20% diecast.

I'm still not a fan of Megatron though. I just absolutely hate the noodle legs and oversized cannon.

by the way, has hasbro make any announcement of releasing their own version of mp megatron, hopefully they do come with a base that also speaks as prime. so they can trash talk to each other. i'm quite excited for hasbro's starscream coming out this october.

Don't count on it. American toy gun laws are insanely limiting as to what you can sell in retail stores. So unless it looks like a lasergurn (like classics Megatron) you won't see it released here. I doubt even with the orange caps installed that stores would pick them up to sell.

Maybe if you're counting the screws as well as the feet. I doubt it is more than 5%.

The legs aren't all that bad. The cannon though is horrible.

Yeah I was just guessing on it since I don't own the figure.

I would recommend him but I would advise against transforming him anymore than a hand full of times each time you transform him his joints seem to get looser and looser. Otherwise he is a great addition to any TF colection and reasonably posible as well.

does he come with his own energy mace or did you borrow the one from the original Megs?

I've been looking at my master piece Megs for a while now and come to the conclusion that I hate him!

The cannon is too big and too heavy and I normally refer to him as Stoopy now because of the tilt to the right. Also, he no longer wants to stand up straight with out falling over anymore so I just have him kind of leaning back which looks silly - this despite the fact that I have never transformed him - I just took him out of the box and put him on display.

I can't recommend him and I am seriously on the verge of putting my guy back in the box and getting him out of my way so I can put something else in his place.
