So, who's been rejected by Wal*Mart?
Went in tonight and they had about a hundred ROTF deluxe figures out. I know they're not supposed to be out until the 30th for purchaes. But, I tried buying the three worthwhile ones in the first wave. They denied me, but were being incredibly rude for some reason, like I was the jackass that put them all out.
Anyone else been rejected yet?

That sounds incredibly stupid. Why put them out if they're not going to sell them.
Last time I was at Wal-Mart they still only had Animated, and a few Universe toys out.

I've had it happen with some Animated stuff earlier this year, but not yet for the ROTF things.
In a place such as this, you are the perfect prey for a brest animal!

last sunday at 4:30 am after 5 hours of ot I stopped at a walmart on my way home they had the first wave of rotf voyagers prime, starscream, ironhide, demolisher. Tried to purchase screamer and demolisher since they are all new molds. as I handed them to the cashier i said i don't think that they will ring up. After they didn't ring up i commented that I didn't think they were released yet. but since i found them on the shelf i'd give it a try. Then I went home pissed that i had new toys in hand and got shot down. It reminded me of when i was a kid and a found a new cool tf and the parents said no.

They've tried that **** with me in the past...but I've been a retail maneger for the last 13 years and I know how to put them in their place.
I normally walk out with the figures I want.

Useually if the product isn't in the computer yet which is why it won't ring up, they'll do a price check and type it in by hand. It takes a bit longer but you still get the toy.
If Wal-Mart refused to sell me anything which they haven't done yet I'd probly just tell them if it wasn't for sale it shouldn't be on the shelf, give them whatever amount of money the product was marked for and walk out with it weater they wanted me to or not.
I allmost did that about a month ago but it wasn't at Wal Mart. I was in a hurry and didn't have time to wait in line so I had the money out and was about to just trow it on the counter and leave but I ended up being next in line. They would of gained an extra $3 in change if I would of done that though. Pluse everyone that works there knows me and they've let me walk out without paying before knowing I didn't have money at the time but could cover it later. (it's a small grocery store in the state park where I work.)

Re: So, who's been rejected by Wal*Mart?
I've yet to encounter this, but I haven't found any stores in Phoenix that have them. (If someone finds them, please PM me)
By law, if the product is out on the shelves and there isn't a recall regarding a specific problem then they have to sell it. It doesn't matter if they aren't in the computer, if it's on the shelf, it has to be sold.
I've been jerked around long enough by store managers and whatnot to know how to get my way with them. Also, when they try that whole "These are for kids, not adults" crap, I tell them that they should shut their mouths before they speak because they don't know why I'm buying it. For all they know, I could be buying it for someone else.

Re: So, who's been rejected by Wal*Mart?
I didn't think it could happen, but I was denied at Target today.
I went to Target and they had everything out including Devastator which btw, looks awesome!
I went to grab some figures when the Target employees came over with a cart and said I wasn't allowed to buy any because of a recall. When I told them there wasn't a recall, they told me to leave the store.
I spent almost $400 at that Target when the first movie came out and was going to spend almost as much this time around, but they won't be getting any of my money this time around. I told them that to which they responded I shouldn't be reselling figures. I told them to shut it because I'm not a scalper. I've only ever purchased 1 of any particular figure.
Needless to say, I'm pissed. Who wants to form an angry mob and storm the backrooms with me?

A similar thing happened to me today at Target.
They tried the same story about a recall too.I made sure to speak to the head manager in charge and he gave me the same BS about a recall because of safty issues....but I recorded the convo with my cell phone.
I then told him to call his district manager because I was going to call the local news station about the safty recall from Hasbro so as to let the public know about bad Trensformers toys.
When he refused to call the DM I called the news station, who promtly called the District manager about the recall.
To make a long story short I got my figures and 2 employes at that target got fired for making flase statements to a customer about a safty recall that did not exsist.

Mind sharing with what what you say?
This hasn't happened to me since I haven't seen any ROTF figures on the shelves yet. Needless to say though, if they try pulling this crap on me I will raise a ruckus.

Re: So, who's been rejected by Wal*Mart?
I never thought of recording conversations with the managers.
I'm so pissed about this as I expect that kind of treatment from Kmart not Target. That Target has been really good to me in the past and have spent about $600 on TF merchandise counting the first movie. I know that's chump change to them, but that's a lot for me.
It's the stores fault for breaking the street date. We don't deserve to be treated badly for THEIR screw ups.
I'm think I'm going to start calling the news stations about the ROTF line having a safety recall. I think a good number of people will get fired if the fandom acts together on this. I know it's bad to wish people to get fired, but dishonesty really pisses me off.
Botcon is next week so I'll get all the ROTF goodiness I can handle. I was just wanting a quick fix.

The only time it happened to me was last August with the Clone Wars figures and they had a whole big display of them out
