That's right. Encore Optimus Prime and Megatron.
I tried to keep them MISB, but they seemed to telepathically be telling me to open them, (plus I never had these molds, aside from the meh TRU Prime reissue.) So, out they came.
The first thing I notice is they are the definition of win. My god, they are so freaking awsome. I think I'm in love...
They come with everything you may expect, except the BIG dissopointment of no energon weapons.
Just one question for Megs: I had heard there is a way to attatch his gun barrel to his back like in the cartoon. How is this? -screw that, I figured it out by looking on a gallery, I saw they mine's upper torso wasn't raised all the way.
So, I pulled for it to come up, and please dear god and primus, tell me his upper chest is detachable. Cuz it just came fying off with practically no force, but I was able to get it bak on. Is it detachable? *prays and crosses fingers*

My G1 Megs is a KO, but the torso piece does come off if I pull too hard, as long as it goes back on, no need to worry.

I've got the Japanese DW cover version and I haven't snapped off the chest. I don't know if it is supposed to do this or not. Sometimes, the toys are designed to pop off instead of break. Does it go back on?

My figure is in storage so I cannot check it out for you. Sorry. I am sure somebody here on the boards will know the answer to your question.
Good luck.

mmm more caps posts, we couldn't possibly read it without caps demanding help.
That said, I can actually help you thus I will do so. His chest is not designed to come off, but can very easily, it can also be snapped back into place easily. While some may see this as bad, i think its good. The first time I played with the toy and tried to put it back to gun mode, the tab that pushes through to fire the pellets got caught, and by forcing it I bent that tab very severely leaving my Megatron unable to be reverted back to gun mode. With some precise toothpick action, I managed to free megatrons chest and lift if off the toy. Once off I could adjust that peg so it was straight again, and fit down through its slot letting me transform the toy.
Short answer, no its not supposed to come off, but it can be snapped back on easily, and someday you may be thankful it was able to be removed.
Remember, these things had to be built at some point. Anything can was put together can be taken apart and rebuilt, although you may expose the plastic peices to more stress than they want to take.

Ohhhh...So that little bent peg is supposed to be straight? Maybe I'l try that...another thing is that *tried* to tf him, his chest was severely hard to lift. But, with so much force, it came off. How can I get it up without pulling it off?
BTW, is the little slot firing peg supposed to be a little ben at the end, or did it just happen like tha when I pulled it off?

I only transformed him once, and it was my first time playing with the mold. I do not believe that peg is supposed to be severely bent at the end, the straighter it was the easier it was for me to transform him, and I really don't care about the pellet shooting gimmick so I didn't really care if i was affecting that with my bending of the peg.
I didn't notice the chest being too hard to lift, I transform carefully though, and look around for other things that could be restricting movement before I brute force the toy and risk breaking it.
Best advice I can say is be cautious, but know if you pull the chest off you can probably get it back on without hurting the toy, unless it broke a tab.
