Most likely, a bumber for me cause Galvatron is one of my least fav characters, although I can't put my finger on why.

I can see that. The all spark could have a side effect or something that makes megatron "reborn" into Galvatron

to fight that there should be ultra magnus and prime combining into omega prime. having him be the only one that can stop galvatron

Yes, I've already discussed this in like three other threads. The writers seemed to have purposefully left it completely open either way. Megs is dead dead or comes back as Galvatron.

I didn't dislike Galvatron. It was a natural transition. And honestly, it could be done a lot easier then Megatron. Turning into a laser cannon as Galvatron did would make a lot more sense then turing into a pistol.

Galvatron was also nuts, his brain a bit fried from the Plasma he was dropped in by Rodimus. He was a different take on a classic villian. Kind of like comparing Venom to Carnage.

Megatron becoming Galvatron would be a lot easier for me to deal with then him flying through the air as some kind of spaceship. And a Laser Cannon form (That was really powerful in the begining because of the Plasma, and could be equally powerful because of the Allspark) is a lot more practical in the long run.

One other thing.

He probably had one of the best lines of any Decepticon ever.

"First Prime, then Ultra Magnus.... it's a pity you Autobots die so easily or one could actually take satisfaction!"

Sorry. Little rusty. My copy of the movie dissapeared a while ago. Waiting to get the speacial edition now.

Still just clears the point though. Galvatron didn't suck.

No biggie. I agree as well, even though they changed him after the movie, it sure was enjoyable watching crazy Galvatron especially in "Webworld". It is the best Galvatron episode, imo.

Well it's totally up in the air if he's gonna return or not. But it would be nice if he did.

I definitely want Ultra Magnus as the leader of a group consisting of Hot Rod, Springer, Arcee, Kup, and Blurr in the next one, but I'm not 100% into Omega Prime. It was the best thing from RID imo, but I don't know (at least for the 2nd movie).

Top 10, who would you like to see in the next movie?

Postby Rodimus_Prime13 » Wed Jul 04, 2007 2:04 am

In order, what would your top ten be for both Autobots and Decepticons that you would like to see in the next movie. (Excluding the ones that where already in this movie.)

For me:

Autobots:
1. Hot Rod
2. Skyfire
3. Prowl
4. Powerglide
5. Arce
6. Inferno
7. Wheeljack
8. Seaspray
9. Cliff Jumper
10. Beach Comber

Decepticons:
1. The Constructicons (all)
2. Shockwave
3. Ravage
4. Galvatron
5. Thundercracker
6. Cyclonis
7. Blitzkrieg
8. Soundwave (Not sure how to do him right)
9. Kickback
10. Afterburner

Megatron Wuz Bad Ass!

Postby G-Hac3 » Wed Jul 04, 2007 11:31 am

Although the movie kind of became a comedy rather than a Sci-Fi action flik, Megatron's debut was enough for me to save the film. Megatron was the most altered version of any Transformer. More evil and sinister looking than any version of Megatron, he delivered the most classic line (in my opinion) when he uttered "Starscream you failed me again." All other G1 references weren't used properly in the film. If you see the movie again pay more attention to Frenzy, I could swear he said "Arcee" for his last word. In fact he says a lot of "one-word" things real fast if you listen carefully.

Now my overall impression of Bay and Speilberg's efforts: The movie on it's own merit did not give Transformers it's due. But with a lot of slight improvements it can make for a better sequel. Whoever wrote the script should've taken out the comedy aspect of the film. Most people in my theater were laughing not cheering for Transformers. And robots from another planet don't take on human personalities! Maybe only a few traits but c'mon! Also take out all the G1 quotes and find new one's, we fans thought it would be cool but it did not translate well on screen. And lastly give the audience more credit we can understand the movie if it became less "kidee-like." Children wil still buy the merchandise but the adult collectors will also buy as long as they respect the movie. I'm sure I am not the first or the last to offer suggestions but if anyone in "movieland" is reading this I hope it helps.

The entire theater was full and everyone was cheering, clapping and having a great time. Everyone cheered and clapped when Blackout transformed and that sounds effect was heard. Also when Prime showed up in the Peterbuilt with the other Autobots everyone was cheering real loud. It was an awesome experience.

With the recent trend in the Transformer continuity, I wouldn't be surprised if Megatron did come back as Galvatron, but looks exactly the same, except for a different paint job.
