Hi guys, I have a question that's driving me insane. I'm playing Transformers: War For Cybertron and Something puzzled me. It said that Optimus was the last prime. How can that be? That's question #1. Question 2 is how were the original 13 transformers primes when you only get the title of prime when you become the leader of the auto bots? Also... Why did the number get reduced to 7.

#1. OP the last prime cause he got appointed when it looks like the world is about to end for the transformers cause of what megatron does.

#2. The 13 are the original transformers created. Some have prime titles i guess but aren't leaders such as vector prime and nexus prime who have different jobs. The 7 are movie continuity only. The other continuities feature the 13

Yeah there's only one leader who is the Matrix-Bearer. the others are guardians of sorts. Vector Prime guards space and time, The Fallen guards...idk and so on

So after the 13 died is there only 1 prime?

Actually not all of them are dead, theyre around somewhere. but the Matrix-Bearer is passed on to a successor when the current Prime dies. The successor is chosen by some council i think its like the Council of Ancients or soimething like that.

It is very complex and complicated, as we also do not know the full identities of the 13, only those who have been discussed so far.

Vector Prime is a guardian of space and time.
The Fallen is a force of entropy.
Nexus Prime (also known as Nexus Maximus) is a guardian of rarefied energon and tasked with protecting a weapon that was dismantled and spread across the multiverse.
Prima is thought to be the leader of the 13 and is thought to be the first to hold the matrix.

A few other characters membership are debated, but many members have had no information released at all.
