Thanks Bod! they aren't perfect, but they are really fun all the same!
tonight was a busy night: Tree!

Can you spot the 3 bots and 2 droids on the tree?
Have some toyhax fun

Also was messing around with some G1 primes: Cybertronian, Evolution, Classic, and Steampunk. Was pretty neat to mess with all these different takes on Prime

And finally, some Towline and Buzzsaw!

well done!
So you saw one of my 8 Jeff Gordon ornaments (favorite Racecar Driver), Lightning McQueen (love those movies), Black punch bug, Bri and I's picture ornament, and my college Band ornament, interesting points of focus.
And as for the wut, that is the wonderful goofiness of Energon Towline. Dude was a deluxe class figure that operated like G1 Ironhide and Ratchet's toys, and both he and his "combat deck" can powerlinx, and it's really fun cause he can powerlinx with himself to make a centaur bot!

Hey everyone, hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
Black Friday shopping turned out well, finally found this guy after 6 months of looking!

Also, my desk recently featured the final Beast Wars Neo original mold I was missing!

Also, I am still loving the Powermasters

I've been messing around with Blackarachnia since Wednesday, and she is incredible. Really really good. The transformation is nice and simple in comparison to the other MPs, and i figured out her thorax, which has helped make her more fun.
The robot mode is perfect, I have nothing to complaint about. She is 110% perfect. Spider mode is pretty good, the thorax is a bit big but I like it, it I have no complaints.
The stand is really nice too, I'm really glad they included it

Oh yeah Bod, I was thrilled to pick up those 2 at TFcon to go with Grotusque! I love having the completed team.
Include G1 Flywheels, who enjoyed a good family day with his kids (kudos to those who get the reference in the 3rd pic)

also got my 2nd Blackarachnia and the best Christmas movie ever made

Had one pre-ordered from Amazon japan from May, and then won the TFsource one during customer appreciation week, and by then it was too late to cancel the Amazon order, so I have 2! Gonna keep the 2nd mint for now i think, keep her nice.
Been having some G1 fun lately, among them Monsterbots and the Dreadwing Bros. I love my 7 Monsterbots

So, Star Convoy then.
First impressions, he isn't bad. The head, shoulders, legs, and matrix are really nice, I like those parts of the retooling. Not too hot on the stickers or the chest piece though, that piece feels really weak and I'm a bit scared of it. He's not bad, but he's not great either

Scourge with Fracas, looking good

More images of Optimus and Star Convoy. I am enjoying the little Action Master Prime more now, and I am appreciating the detail put into the fake robot torso area. And he looks fairly good with the larger rifle, just the sort of large gun for an Action Master that I like.
The torso clicked together for Star Convoy mode better too this time around. I really like the aesthetic of the figure, I love the Star Convoy look and especially any figure that uses a head like his.
enjoying it more. alt mode is still troublesome, but robot modes are still really nice

I love that clan of Monsterbots, they are a great team!
I like the power up gimmick, and I agree, I like the little robot of Star Convoy. Both robots are really cool, and I'm liking them more as I go.
I also picked up a new addition in the mail today

also took my Custom Ratchet to work finally

Crowbar is definitely fiddly. Alt mode is a bit rough. But I like the robot mode, and i got him in the hope of getting a Hatchet soon. Roadbuster gave me hope they will give us the trio of Wreckers and Dreads in Studio Series.
Bummed they don't have Stinger though, i'm kinda getting a retroactive regret over not getting him.

Re: The D-Max Den
I got mine from a close out discount salvage store for a song; still paid too much for it. I think it's the TLK premier version. Picked up quite a few of those TLK premier figures at the various TJ Rosshalls while the getting was good. Alt modes are usually outstanding with very smart transformations, but bot mode doesn't do it for me. Lots of impulse purchases.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Crowbar is definitely fiddly. Stinger is the red one correct? I was tempted to pick up the SS version quite a few times, but fortunately something else was pulling on my wallet strings at the time. I will say I've been very happy with the SS line though. Still need to jump on car Dropkick, before that well dries up.
I'm not subbed to any of the movie threads, but how you feeling about the new plane Shatter? Looks pretty cool to me. Honestly most of the SS figures look good, but don't fit into my collection plans. I make a few exceptions here and there though.

The dreads are a definitive movie look, if you're not into the spiky skeletal look, they just won't work for you.
Stinger was red yes. Didn't really ring as important to me, but the Studio Series line has become my prime focus, so i feel OK with getting more from it.
The new Shatter looks pretty dope. She has the triple changer kibble and the right head. If the pattern holds true, she will be a great figure, and you can just leave her first figure in car mode for the triple changing effect, like Dropkick.
You definitely need to get Dropkick. Great toy, and not overly movie either for the less-movie fan. I'm excited for Offroad Bee and Roadbuster too

Oh yeah, Jeep Bee, Bee Jeep, Beep? Unless that figure is a turd, it's on my list. I should just bite the bullet and order Dropkick. It's like $16 on amazon right now.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:I'm excited for Offroad Bee and Roadbuster too
I almost got WWII Bee a few times, but managed to hold off. Considering the Rod of Hotness variant though. I really like the legs on that mode, I love when they handle tires like that, just seems so natural.

the WWII mold is ok. I like it and enjoy it, but I'm in the minority on that opinion. I'm really looking forward to having the WWII brothers.
I actually pre-ordered almost the entire wave with the Pulse Black Friday coupon. Only missed Soundwave and the Arcees since they sold out. The rest should come in stock around the turn of the year, I'm excited.
