This is going to be my first Botcon too. I can't wait. The wife gets the minicon package so I think I'll be getting a bagged set too. I'd really like to meet some of you while we're out there. Put faces to avatars, you know.

Thats one of the best things about BotCon. Ryan, myself and a few others on the staff will have some Seibertron t-shirts on, so be on the look out for us. It's just so cool to meet the rest of the fans and fellow Seibertronians.

I finally got my registration faxed out! They should really be more specific about how to send those, until I talked to someone from the transformers club today, I thought they had to be mailed.
All of my accommodations are finally set, now all there is left to do is wait.

Is there a way to get the 5 figure convention set in just the bags even if you're not attending the convention? I know you can get the decked out box set by itself with out attending. But what about getting just the figures and accessories in the simple plastic bags?
You can only get a bagged set if you buy a boxed one first.
Oh Ouch!!
Hey--how are you planning on getting your box set? Is there an online way through the Botcon site to order/buy it? I've been there, but it's not the easiest thing to navigate...
I know what you mean. I looked at the Botcon site too to see if I could just order on-line and be done with it. But it appears that filling out the registration form and faxing it in or mailing in is the only way. What I want to know is, what is the deadline for ordering and paying for the non-attendee Iacon package? If you use a credit card do they charge your card right away or by a certain date. I would love to speak to someone at the offices for Botcon and find out.
Collection Count: Just enough G1 & Classics to make this look good!

Same here.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Games of Deception Convention Set: A five-figure boxed set which includes Decepticon Seekers Dirge, Thrust, Thundercracker, Dreadwind and the newest Decepticon, Bugbite all presented in an illustrated display box. Also included with the set is a certificate of authenticity, tech specs and figure weapons.
Convention pin.
Convention program with comic.
Does not include the secret bonus attendee figure.
Items will be shipped three to four weeks after the show to your home address. (Use the BotCon registration form to order this package.)

This will be my first Botcon also. I would've gone to last year's but I had a friend getting married that same weekend. This year's Con fall also on my B-day!! I'll be getting myself some good gifts. I'll be there with Darth Screamer. It'd definitely be cool to meet up with some fellow Seibertronians.

Air Commander Starscream wrote:I have been looking forward to this BotCon since the last one. This will only be my second, but I was so impressed with last years I knew I had to make this one. I got my Hotel reservations for the Marriot about 2.5 weeks ago and I faxed in my form yesterday for me and my Girl Friend. I'm excited that she wants to go and learn more about my hobby, a major plus. I am also looking forward to teaming up with Ryan again and getting all the galleries and news stories out as soon as we see it! Only bad part about this Botcon is I have to hold back QUITE A BIT on buying stuff. As soon as I get home from BotCon, 5 days later I am moving to Seattle with my Girl Friend. So not to much extra money to spend, and not a lot of space for new Transformers. But thats ok... just going to BotCon is enough for me this year.
I am also looking forward to this years set, I can't wait to see some pictures of what there gonna look like.TFBuyer wrote:Maldroth wrote:to get the Iacon package (nonattendee) you fax in your order with the same registration form its on there.
I'm debating about picking up a bagged set but that's alot of coin to toss down since I may have to scour ebay for the other figures.
Cool. I'll have to do that tomorrow. Would rather have a straight online purchase option, though...
Thanks!
Yea they say they are working on a online application. I think in this day of age it wouldnt be too hard to do it, and it almost seems silly not to offer it. But alas I faxed in all the info. It's just kind of inconveinent, not to mention your CC# and all of that being on the Fax or mail.
Went ahead and faxed in my order for one Iacon Package today! Can't wait to see the figures involved!

I'll be making the short trip down from Boston on Saturday for the general admission as I am not really interested in any of the packages. And I don't need to take any tours. I can go see this stuff whenever I want.
This will be my first Botcon and I only plan on spending one day down there to get the feel of the event and just check things out especially any new bots Hasbro may roll out. I'm also hoping to pick up a couple of highly prized bots too to add to my collection.

Mmmm,
Brilliant thought. I have been wanting Botcon Ratchet, Ironhide and the Sunstorm Reapint from E-hobby for quite a while now. I wonder if anyone would be willing to work a trade involving those 3 and my bagged Botcon Set. Hmmm
This could work out quite well.

heh... i doubt you'd be able to trade that for sunstorm, or botcon rachet. however! if you traded the attendee figure, then you might be onto something.Bonger wrote:Mmmm,

I'm not staff, and I still got a t-shirt. I guess that was my bonus for participating in the board wars. I hope I get to again, even though I am sure there are tons of staff who probably want to do it, so I may get my spot given to someone of more seniority, so to speak.
BTW congrats ACS! You've made some awesome additions in your life, huh? Or I guess I should say big moves?

Well, the staff is working out who is going and how many behind closed doors. I'm sure a charitable donation to the "Send Fender Bender to Botcon Fund" would improve your chances of getting on the team....

I'd give you money but I expect something in return in the form of certain little exclusive figures.

Actually, i'm going to have an extra attendee figure. However, it is only for trade and not sale. And I better be gettin some sweet stuff in return.

Well, some sad news. Mastercollector called yesterday and said I didn't get into the customizing class. I am hoping that they realize there is enough interest to open the second class again...
