Well here's a bit of great news for all the kids and grown up kids of my age... Reboot, the beloved cgi classic is being revived by legendary Mainframe Studios (now working under the Rainmaker name).

I few months back, Mainframe studios here in Vancouver, B.C. (the same studio that brought us Beast Wars) was bought out by the animation juggernaut Rainmaker Studios. This merge became known Rainmaker-Mainframe for a short period of time until Rainmaker became the new official name. The same core of Mainframe still exists there but there was the worry that some of the great work and ideas that Mainframe was famous for would be lost.

Now we have a beacon of hope! Rainmaker announced the return of Reboot a few weeks back as a 3 part film series and hinted at game and other software development for the franchise.

With all of this effort being put in to revive the Mainframe classics, there remains a small glimmer of hope that maybe. just MAYBE... Beast Wars may get some of the same attention. We can dream.
