How's the paint holding up around the joints?

Looking good so far, but what's with the grey arms? Thundercracker's forearms are supposed to be black.

testing out variants the black seems best for the toy look. its funny as there is a grey arm version in the comics. on the cartoon it seems more like a dark grey then a black when you look at times at the toy.

My advice may not be worth much but here goes:
When doing my classics Skywarp, the paint on his elbow joints and also
the paint on his upper legs chipped , alot.
I decided to use a regular black marker and then spayed clear on it.
Other than that, if you know better, please tell me!

BTW, nice work on Thundercracker!

WTH, what paint do you use??
I'm curious 'cause with these retractable legs, the plastics rub together causing the chipping on the upper legs. Paint chipping is my nightmare.
I sometimes feel to trash everything cause of this.

In cartoons and comics, they use dark greys to simulate black. Otherwise you wouldn't see the black linework

Although, in the 'toon (or at least on those screenshots), the arms are a significantly lighter grey than his head.
But still, black is definitely the way forward... 8)
