I went to a toy con not too long ago.
they had Chinese mini Transformers. In a small box about
3 inches in height, 2 inches wide. I was tempted to get it, he said it was a build it yourself, and I was looking at a Tripticon and 2 of sound waves cassette tape in one package. Suppose to be near accurate in transformation. I was wondering how the quality was.
He said that if they were Japanese he would charge another digit.
he was selling these things for about $7-8 US dollars.
He warned me how the box cover art was not always accurate and did not show the correct content inside. I think one had a cover of blaster but the content was someone else. anybody have info on these things?

These are Chinese KOs of the Kabaya candy toys from the 80s. Apparently they are made using the original moulds. I've put together quite a few recently, the quality on some is as good as the originals on others quite poor due to mould degredation. I've been getting mine from this ebay seller http://stores.ebay.co.uk/id=266500&ssPa ... MEFS:MESST
He's pretty well priced and the item descriptions highlight whether there are any particular difficulties with a particular mould. If you're a fan of the WST line then the city bots and micro sized versions of the Headmasters and Masterforce characters are definately worth a look.
