TRANSFORMERS ANIMATED

Postby EXODUS PRIME » Sat Oct 20, 2007 7:07 pm

Hello bots and cons of seibertron

I have been noticed all the crud people are saying about the new series of transformers. but is this all realy nessisary? I mean we should mostly be grateful that they are making a series of transformers based mostly on the orginal series. Ok so optimus in the new series is done buy the guy who did megatrons voice and the animation is new and unusual, but should this be reasons to hate the new series?

WELL I FOR ONE APPLAUD THIS NEW SERIES!!!!

(and i might get kicked of for saying this but it has to be said)

IF YOU GUYS WERE REAL TRANSFORMERS FANS YOU WOULD GO ALONG WITH IT!!

and if you guys talk crap about me DONT BOTHER i will just ignor it

So brother and sisters of transfandom, please give this series a chance to prove itself as a worty transformers animated series.

that is all I have to say

It might suck, it might not. I'm not really going to care either way, unless something really makes it stick out for me. It's not going to change what came before it, and unless it's unexpectedly superb it won't influence much in the future.

I wish it all the best, and look forward to judging the finished product.

I'm fine with that.

But i totally disagree with this. It seems like you are having a "Either you love Animate and are a Real fan, or you hate it and aren't a true fan." And that means you are saying people who have second opinions about TF: Ani aren't real fans.

I am a real Transformers fan but to blindly go along with it as you suggest would be in error.
I tryed that with the last 3 shows and I wount put my suport behind this show till I see it.You are welcome to your opinion.

I'm a fan. But I also have my opinions, we all do, and we're allowed that. That said...

I'm looking forward to the new series. Yes, the designs will take getting used to but, whatever. I welcome the Transformers back to current cartoons. I'm not going to judge until I have actually seen the show with my own eyes.

Honestly, I didn't like Beast Wars at first. But, it was transformers, so I gave it a shot. Just give me my Transformers, and no one gets hurt.

BTW, I did like Beast Machines. Mostly because it was off of Earth and involved Cybertron.

I don't buy garbage just because it has some brand's name on it (that doesn't mean Animated is crap, it's just a general statment against "mindlesly love everything Transformer" opinion). And if you were a real fan you wouldn't either, otherwise quality suffers and their will come the point when it just because unbearable.
Neither of us has seen much of the series yet, we should wait with our final opinion (good and bad) till with have seen more.

That said, I loath the designs, the story will have to be exceptional to keep me watching. But an exceptional story won't help Hasbro at all in this case. I buy toys that are attractive, the animated toy designs are butt-ugly.

Btw, I buy very few Transformers, because the majority is not aesthetically pleasening.

Someone, can't remember who, has in their sig something like "I'm not a fan of the new Movie. That doesn't make me a bad TF fan, it just means I don't like bad movies." Pretty much the same thing applies here.

I haven't enjoyed the last three TF cartoons, but I watched them before coming to that conclusion. At the moment, I don't think I'll like Animated, because I haven't liked anything else drawn in the same style. I'll still watch the show when it starts, and do my best to give it a fair chance.

In conclusion, please don't come onto a forum and start dictating to people. You wouldn't do it in real life (well, not without getting your head kicked in), please don't do it here.

By the same logic, I should also enjoy the Unicron Trilogy cartoons just because they're Transformers.

Meh.

I must not be a real TF fan, then (believe me, I am).

I'm looking forward to seeing how the new series pans out; I think it has a lot of potential. But if I don't like it, I'll stop watching.

I think it will be pretty gewd...maybe not but I'm certainly going to say this THEY LOOK KIND OF FUNNY!!!!! ha glad I could get that out...Some to me look good some to me look bad but really I'm looking foward to the types of Character development which will be used...That is really all I care about I don't care if there is one called brownatron and looks rediculous because he's just a big blob of brown...as long as their character is good I don't care!

like Skyfire to me was big and I guess scary looking :???: but inside he's just a cute little confused puppy :P

or like Starscream or Thundercracker and Mirage they are great examples of good characters :)

That's cool. The term 'real fans' often causes a lot of heat.

Fact is, there's so much different stuff in Transformers, it's nigh on impossible to like everything. I don't put as much stock in the original cartoons as a lot of people do, and as I said, a lot of the AEC series I didn't bother with either.
But I loved Beast Wars and Beast Machines, and I'd love to see a lot more of RiD. I've always collected the comics and toys, too.

I really can't slagn' wait. I really want to see how jazz will be inturperitated(I fricken suck at spelling!) and the same goes with Magnus, Grimlock, Slag, Swoop, Soundwave, and Shockwave.

I'm more into the comic side now but i'll give it a fair chance, like i did each of the trilogy series.

I'm okay with stylized, though i'ld rather see a different style but look forward to seeing the range of this Primatron V/A :P

still, i don't see me buying a comic of it unless the story just rocked. I made that mistake with Armada... :(

TBAs for me...

I am hoping that the new Animated Series will be all 32 kinds of Awesomesauce.

If it isn't I will be greatly disappointed.

Well what ive heard from development it doesnt seem to be that bad. They're doing standalone episodes like G1 did, though they wont have as big a crew as G1 did though other autobots and decepticons will appear later.

I would have preferred Gary Chalk as prime and Kaye go back to megatron but i guess it could have been worse

Rachet is going to be an old veteran with a beer gut, yes you heard me his chasis makes it look like he has a beer gut

I don't like prowl as a motorcycle ninja, who doesnt care for Prime's long winded speeches he should have stayed a police car

Bumblebee it's somewhat of an improvement even though he seems more childish

Bulkhead...could have been Hound

Jazz...Phil Lamaar, 'nuff said

Grimlock, least they had him in there and as a dinosaur not a stupid crane

Slag, fine
Swoop, would have preferred sludge but he is just as good

Sentinel Prime maybe we will get some more backstory than just being Prime's predacessor

Ultra Magnus Like we didn't see that coming

Arcee, See Ultra Magnus but they brought back Susan Blu

Blurr, holy crap John Moschitta is reprising his role

Wreck gar, is a dump truck and will be voiced by Wierd Al thats a plus.

Megatron, good to see Corey Burton is getting back into Transformers, but it could loose the katana.

Starscream, i don't care if it is voiced by spongebobs VA Tom Kenny at least he's trying.

Blitzwing- suddenly he is Mani-Faces

Lugnut-brute and opposite of Bulkhead

Lockdown- Bounty hunter, most likely take up sideway's role

Black Archnia- fine, again Cree Summers used as a voice actor for the ten billion time

Soundwave- Least they stay somehwat to the original design even though it's a different alt mode.

Shockwave- good to see their giving corey burton more work to make up for lost time.

Human villians, while a nice apporach many of them are just silly though thats not to say there haven't been human enemies in the past.

Sari- token human who's only purpose is to humanize transformers etc etc, tara strong again etc etc

Hopefully Micheal Bell and Gray Chalk as well as some other old actors can reprise their roles.

I didn't care for the animation style at first, but I can't really fault them for wanting to try a new style of animation. Hell, we all love G1 and all the characters were pretty much glorified boxes with colours.

Then there are the little things, like Prime being a fire truck. In the long wrong I am sure it makes sense, but I like my big rigs, man!

Then there is the fact that the voice actor for Prime (David Kaye) is also Sesshomaru in Inuyasha. At least it makes me laugh, but that will take some time getting use to it.

Still, with all the little quirks, I am most interested to see another resurection of Transformers and what someone else will do with it, and for that I will certainly give it a shot.

:BOT: Just throwing my two cents in, I'm growing fond of the new cartoon. Coming from an artist point of view, I love the style. Hopefully the cartoon will be fun to watch.

As for the toys, I've try to limit what I spend. But I like Optimus and Megatron (I always get those guys anyways). :CON:

Having just seen the clip on You tube, I'm really looking forward to seeing the show. Love the new theme tune. Wasn't a fan of Beast Wars initially because of the robots and was of course skeptical about the movie designs but did they both prove us all wrong.

Have a feeling this will be the new Beast Wars for many of us.
