transformers g 3

g2 was a reairing of g1 and some remake of the toys. but i heard a long time ago that they were going to make a g3 series. which the story was between the g1 season 2 last show and the animeted movie. always hope it was true.

A new follow-up toyline after G2 was considered but never got past planning and one mockup:

Behold, Camera Megatron.

Any details, if any, are unknown. What is known, however, is that ultimately, Beast Wars saved the franchise, and then some.
