The Energon Pub

I recently came across one these rarities on ebay, purchased without hesitation, and am now just worried that the one I have bought is a fake. Would anyone be able to confirm a few of the oddities I have noticed with mine?

1.) It's taller than the usual comics/current sized bag/boards, mostly strange to me since the actual Gen2 comic series is.

2.) There is no backing to the issue, it's just simply the cover page and 7 or so panel pages (the back being the last page of the "story").

that's about all that I noticed/ could find for now.

I don't think I've ever heard of it before. Could you please provide a picture of the cover and perhaps some of the names in the credits?

That's the main cover. It was basically just a small FCBD(Free Comic Book Day) give out back in 1993, when the comic was about to debut.

I notice the scan has a slight discoloration at the top, making me slightly hopeful that it's the added height that I spoke of earlier.

I actually do remember that from when I was a kid. After about 10 minutes of snooping around, a found it on the wiki. Check it out here I'm highly doubting that someone would go to the trouble of faking a free comic from 20 years ago that even most of us don't remember. Unlike now when we have one week a year that publishers give them out, free comics weren't as common back then. The fact that it's just the comic with no ads or back cover sounds about right for the time but I don't know about the size difference. I'd contact the eBay seller and see what he has to say.
