Re: TRANSFORMERS II -PRIMES NEW LOOK
Thats what i didnt get.
All the others in the film transformed fine. They didnt have parts that flew off or anything.
But Optimus Prime did.
It was like they didnt work hard enough on him.
They should all be up to the same standard.

Re: TRANSFORMERS II -PRIMES NEW LOOK
I would guess Prime will most certainly have a new look due to there being new toys to sell, I just hope the colors, head and two windows deal on chest remain basically the same.

I'm still getting used to the fact that the 1986 movie takes place 3 years in the past now.

I think they'll change him a little. I think the colors, head and chest will stay!

Re: TRANSFORMERS II -PRIMES NEW LOOK
Thats not a new adittion surely. I sincerely hope not.
I thought that was just a trailer they used for Bulkheads head.
And its one ugly trailer. I dont know what the deal was with all these excited fanboys going loco on youtube. G1 Optimus primes trailer was the reverse of those colors.
It dosnt even look vaguely similer.
I like animated Optimus Prime as he is.

Re: TRANSFORMERS II -PRIMES NEW LOOK
so you don'nt like the trailer? well -maybe it was more of the idea of it that i liked- brought back some old times- not so much for you i take it.. well i really hope they keep using it -and if not- so what -it will be back again someday. i just thought it was cool when my son got to see prime when he really-- rolles out--
anyway--so was just thinking -- when they put the year and company on the foot or any hidden place on the transformers toys-- i've noticed that they are almost always a year behind or more- from the date that i'm holding it--dose this mean that are movie II transformers are done or just getting started?
-------------fanboy --i don't know about that
--i just happen to think they are the greatest invention ever made for toys as well as action figs. no matter what i like and what you don't like - one things for sure we both like (love )transformers-i guess it could all just come down to for how long?--well that -dosen't even matter any more now --because ---transformers meet the world--WORLD meet the transformers--

FFS are some of you guys 10 years old? Devistator? The wrighters? Learn to spell.
I'm guessing most of you weren't born when Transformers first came out in stores, and the movie got you interested in the story and characters.
Anyway, Prime will probably be a bit closer to his original look, if Bay decided to change him.

What????
How was G1 Prime's trailer the "reverse" of those colors????
When was the last time you say G1 Prime's trailer??/
How is this

the reverse of this????

The color shades may be different but it is not the reverse of the G1 color scheme.

Criticizing the spelling of others is childish.I'm one of the oldest members here and I myself have issues with my spelling, mostly due to the enormous amount of meds that I'm taking clouding my mind but you have no right to pass judgment on others.

Most toys take a year or more to develop, hasbro wants at least that long from concept to final product, the armada unicron took a good two but some can take upwards of three but most are in the 1-2 year range.

Re: TRANSFORMERS II -PRIMES NEW LOOK
well figuring the release date is going to be july 4th 2009 for the second movie- then there is about three months left till july 4th 2008- give or take- meaning that when we hit that date-july 4th 2008 there is epox. only one year left or less- till they start to release the new movie figs. i can't quite rememmber but didn't they release the first movie transformers right after the new year at the begin of 2007? not sure how it's going to work this time around but i rememmber also looking at spoilers as far as pics and some vids.of others ideas as for what to expec. i think when i started to see some of those first pics. for the first movie was almost a year before the 1st movie came out- so dose this mean we are right around the corner from seeing the first spoilers soon?
also-- do you think that's what michael bay was for sure working on -during the writers strike- the devp. of the 2nd movie cast ?-so as to also meet the deadline as far as movie memorabila(transformers toys)
(i need a spell check over hear) ??

Under normal circumstances the answer might have been yes but the writters strike has pushed back the process of every thing involved with the 2nd movies production.
That being said I dont think that some of the character designs arent being chosen as we speak but I dont think any working models will be ready till close to the end of the year.

"glazer" figuring the release date is going to be july 4th 2009 for the second movie
The release date is June 26th 2009 actually so don't be late for the movie!

Re: TRANSFORMERS II -PRIMES NEW LOOK
"Galvatron" thanks for the correcttion- i wasn't sure when they released the frist movie figs. -but i remember walking in to walmart and seeing them everywhere-when they frist came out. and that was also my frist buy day-- just forgot the release date..
are the allspark figures going to play a roll in the 2nd movie?-- making the new cast even smaller - as far as new toys on shelves at the stores.

Tough to say that all depends on the script/plot of course and with the intentional release of false information by Bay and crew we probably won't know for some time so unless the official script does get leaked released and Bay actually confirms that it's authentic then who can say...Oh, I just had a horrible thought...pretend an entire script gets leaked and Bay confirms to everyone that that is the sequels official script BUT it will later turn out that that too was a deception.
Oh well time will only tell and the best advice is to not expect this character to return or that character to show up or it should be a certain way and to go in with a fairly open mind about it.
Back to toys however, the strike may inadvertently effect the quality of next movies toys too!

More outlandish alt-modes please, I loved the more unusal alt-modes like the S&R Hummer (Ratchet), the H-53 Sea Stallion (Blackout), the Buffalo Mine-clearing vehicle (Bonecrusher), Saleen police car (Barricade) and especially the arrogant Megatron being a Cybertronian starfighter.
Cars, trucks, planes and tanks? Sure, cool enough, but we've had a thousand toys of those things before. The movie brought quite a few unique new vehicle toys and I hope TF2 will add to them.

yes for sure - what the hell were they thinking- that is one crappy looking spaceship- there were so many things they could have done with that-i do have megatron's figure from the movie - why i don't know -i don't even like it- if it looked alittle more like he did in the movie then maybe it would be ok , as far as the plane being more sleeker and the tail in the back alittle higher- and whats with doulbe nose thing? well, I sure hope they fix him up right in the 2nd movie--

I highly doubt they will redesign Prime at all. He's the staple Transformer and his general movie look will remain as introduced in the first movie. Besides, Bay REALLY digs that flame paint job on Prime, seeing as it was his dead-set idea.
