You know what's funny? Had Nemesis Hot Rod a mouth plate or at the very least a different headsculpt, I'd buy him despite me wanting the regular Rodimus. As it stands, I'm on the edge.

Does anyone else have an issue with his chin chipping when transformed?

So... Wreck-Gar doesn't have a Prime Armor compatible peg, or even any notches for the thumb ridges. Kinda disappointing. But I guess he is an exclusive, and those seem to be toys that would otherwise be misfits lately.
I do hope we get a proper TFTM-based Generations Wreck-Gar soon

Then we have Punch/Counterpunch who can make excellent use of the "Prime Armor," not just as chest armor, but also as a jetpack for Counterpunch's robot mode, but can't put it to use as an actual combiner hand since it's the only Power of the Primes Deluxe mold that doesn't turn into a combiner limb. You win some, you lose some?

I kind of agree. It's figures we may not have even gotten. It would have made more sense for P/CP to come with a second gun instead of a fist.william-james88 wrote:These are bonuses, from my perspective its all winning.
I just toss all the HFGs into a container in the Drawer of Misfit Accessories anyway.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm glad we got Punch/Counterpunch. He's fantastic as is. I'm just pointing out that Wreck-Gar is far from the only anomaly in the Power of the Primes line in terms of gimmick functionality. For instance, Inferno can't utilize the enigma of combination in torso mode, and Grimlock is the only torso designed to incorporate the spare two combiner hands from his teammates to bulk up his combined mode.

Yeah, they are quite random with that stuff. Speaking of enigmas, Hun-Gurr is the only one that can completely hide it? Starscream/Elita just have a compartment, but can't close the door? I'm not a fan of how Grimlock incorporates the enigma in combined mode. Just looks bad and makes the whole thing look more like a sore thumb.Wolfman Jake wrote:Oh, don't get me wrong. He can, but only his and Inferno's (redeco) as the others stick out too much.
In my headcanon, Hun-Gurrr doesn't need it for Abominus, but for other combinations like Abomenaticus and Destron Super Scramble, he does, given his status as a "later generation" Scramble Combiner. Scattershot doesn't need an enigma because of his natural ability, look at Betatron

Cobotron wrote:Sabrblade! Was it you who mentioned that Wreck-Gar's elbows are swapped from the factory?
Mine were. A minor repair, but not necessarily an easy one. Just took some slightly scary pushing and twisting to get those mushroom pegs to slide out. Not to mention correcting the position of the front fork was a bit freaky. It's turned 180 so it fits in the blister. The plastic is soft and should be handled delicately.
I bought 2 more Wreck-Gars for my brother and another friend, and their elbows are on the wrong side too. I'm guessing this is a widespread mis-assembly.
What's with all the factory errors/mis-assemblies lately?
I just wanted to thank you for the insight you gave on the fix. I am an amateur when it comes to taking apart/putting together. I had 2 Wreck-Gar to fix and 3 of the 4 mushroom pegs were fairly easy. The last peg was hell on earth, my thumbs are still stinging. Thankfully I managed to fix them with very little issues. The ratchet on one arm is a little loose but overall it's good. I used my CW Groove as a reference point. Thanks again.

To be fair, A. the other torsos are more uniform in width than Grimlock is in torso mode and B. I think the positioning of those holes on Grimlock may in fact be an accident of design; I think the holes were more made for weapon mounting. I lean more towards using the extra Prime Armor hands to bulk up the heels for added support (which is the more universal design intention) anyway.
As for the Dinobot Enigma, I just leave it in one of the feet. Keeps the slot full and all. Same would go for the other Enigmas really. I think the chest display option only looks good with the Elita/Starscrem torso configuration tbh.
On the subject of a Starscream combiner, I think Hydra and Buster would make suitable limbs. Granted, right now that would require customizing.
Speaking of customizing, do people think it would be worth it to kitbash Dreadwing to transform more like the original, at least as far as where the cockpit and wings end up in robot mode?

I'm sure this is old news but just in case it is not: I found Ripper Snapper, Slug, and Nova Star at Family Dollar (forget the price) and also found all 3 of the Prime Masters from Bludgeons wave (first time I saw any of them in my area so I was stoked and got Bludgeon.) The Prime Masters were $6.They were in the Christmas toys area and not the regular toys. So if your still looking for them might wanna check Family Dollar!

The second half of Titans Return is missing as well, that's around the time Ryan started full on work on a different version of the site, so the galleries fell on the wayside. Not to worry, they will eventually be put up, as soon as something relating to them pops up.

Power of the Primes Leader Optimal Optimus in Stock at Walmart.com
- Motto: "'till All Are One"
Great news to all worrying fans, Transformers Power of the Primes Optimal Optimus is currently available for order at Walmart.com. With growing complaints that certain local Walmarts have abandoned stocking leader class figures, this is basically as retail as it gets for many Americans. And this is currently the best price any American can get this toy for, at $44.97 USD plus free shipping.
This comes in right on time to close off Power of the Primes, with every toy from the line accounted at either Target or Walmart, while War for Cybertron Siege takes over the shelves.

It's truly painful to believe that the fan voted Prime is the one whose distribution sucks so bad. Really, the one leader figure I saw more than any other was Rodimus Prime. I only saw SG Roddy 3 times, and I saw Optimus a lot, and I usually always saw a Rodimus and Optimus together or not at all. But the very few times I did see a solo leader, it was Roddy regular.
I'm glad I got my Primal, but man, maybe Hasbro should consider the Studio series approach: 1 wave of leaders per year (so far). Gives them distribution, and allows for stores to discontinue the larger size later in the year but get it back at the beginning of every year.
