Transformers series after Cyberverse and Kingdom

Postby Sculyblast » Mon Jan 11, 2021 10:41 am

End of December we got the second installment of the WFC netflix series. I think it is in interresting development that Hasbro has decided to look at Netflix as a platform.
At the current speed of production, we'll probably have WFC Kingdom on netflix by August.
By that time both Cyberverse and WFC will have come to an end.

Are there any hints of what shape a new series might take?

Will Traditional broadcast cartoons remain part of the marketing strategy?

10,000 views and no replies. I'm honored.

I read that there will be a new nickelodeon series. I guess that means Hasbro will stick with traditional broadcast channels.

the new series is summarised as follows:
" In the action-comedy series, a new species of Transformers must find their place and purpose among Autobots, Decepticons, and the human family that adopts them. "

Don't feel bad about the read numbers. Most of those are search engine bots finding and linking your post based on keywords.

We no have two shows coming up, the Nick one you mentioned as well as a BotBots show on Netflix.

TV broadcast will still be an important part going forward, streaming is a good concistent revenue stream and the current hotness, but a streaming company only earns money from the subscription fee, which is why Netflix cancels so many shows once they move past 3 or 5 seasons. That's enough in their eyes to create content, but they want more new things to attract new subscribers.
And production companies only earn a small licencing fee from a streaming platform.

TV still has the ability to reach way more people, due to the fixed time slots and easier access, shows don't get lost as easily as on streaming.

Hasbro is going to utilize both going forward, based on what kind of reach they want to have.
