I certainly wouldn't mind a titan master grimlock if they referenced the diaclone cockpit. Though what I really want for grimlock, just because of the sheer absurdity of it, is a retool of titan class trypticon into a godzilla like transector so grimlock can form the head.

the one i can definitely see happening....is a heavy retool of Sky Lynx into Doubledealer.

I'm a bit lost as well with that idea of a retool. Still expecting a purple Griffin exclusive somewhere down the line though. ..

but we still got, or are getting those, heavy retooled from other characters

oh....& Doubledealer wasn't originally a tank! or a jet! but yet was accepted as such, with the Thrilling 30 Generations version

You did not say how it would be done since Doubledealer's gimmick was having two of the same kind of mode and one kind of the other mode, while the Sky Lynx mold doesn't even have a humanoid robot mode.

You did not say how it would be done since Doubledealer's gimmick was having two of the same kind of mode and one kind of the other mode, while the Sky Lynx mold doesn't even have a humanoid robot mode.

it has partly a humanoid mode! with the Combiner torso!

+ how it's done isn't for me to figure out! i don't get paid for such things, that's the boffins at Hasbro to ponder over(if such a heavy retool were to ever be considered).

Big difference being they are probably going to make one more G1 and not IDW like his thrilling 30 in deluxe scale if he happens. and he is a very popular character nowadays thanks to MTMTE, whereas DD is dead ages ago

Also what reason would they have for doing a double dealer...or are you just trying to think who they could use to justify another use of sky lynx?

Also Double Dealer is not popular enough to warrant another release outside his generally unlike generations.


Plus power master prime isn't a car transporter yes...but neither us titan master prime if you look, they remoulded his trailer to look like his old toy.

That's what I was getting at! with the Powermaster Prime car transporter bit! in that he's been remolded from CW Magnus, who IS a car transporter.

so....if they WERE to do a Doubledealer...are you guys just gonna say"meh! don't want it! coz Stuartmaximus wanted one to happen!"

that's ridiculous! of course some of you will want the figure!

now! am i saying with absolute certainty that they're doing a Doubledealer using the Sky Lynx mold? of course NOT! noone but Hasbro knows what's in the pipeline for future figures, but i'm just saying that's one possibility of the reuse of the Sky Lynx mold!

+ as i've said before...i believe we're getting a Brainstorm in the Titan Wars line, even though we've recently had the 3rd party & Generations ones! & we're also getting Trypticon, & we've recently had a reissue of that.....with the Platinum Edition range.

so just because we've had a certain characters recently before....does not necessarily mean that we won't be getting those characters again! in some future line(like Titan Wars for example).

as for not being popular enough....i'm sure there are many examples of not popular enough characters that've made it this far into the current toy lines(even if i can't think of any off the top of my head just now, but i'm sure someone else can!).

The likelihood of Doubledealer getting a new figure so soon after the one he already got is low, considering he's not that popular, he's been dead in the comics since 2006 - 07, and even a heavy retool would be a hell of a stretch. With the Thrilling 30 figure, 2/3 modes were there: the robot and the ground vehicle. The third mode, a dragon, was approximated in a flying jet mode. With the Skylinx figure, none of those modes are present.

And regarding Brainstorm: has it been announced that HasTak is making a new one? I haven't seen that anywhere, although it wouldn't be inconceivable that I missed it during one of my long work shift.

No official announcement, but it was rumored, and so far those rumors are panning out to be true, so yep

Do you suppose the Titan Master themselves + their little dual mode vehicle/steed things make them approximately the same value as a Legends figure?

Yeah, probably legends price. I hope they're cheaper though. Their vehicles don't seem that interesting so far. Kind of a lot to ask for a head and a mostly non-interactive piece of plastic. Unless they have some other function like turning into weapons for the bigger bots, guess that would be alright.

Supposedly the mini-vehicles transform into weapons when not in use by their respective Titan Master.

I think the pricing is supposed to be the same (a reduction would be nice) but it wouldn't surprise me if there was a small increase again. I dread when deluxe will cost £20 here in the UK.
