Transformers Unlimited: Revisionist history of AEC

(This is just the beginnings of something that may or may not work out. Could be fun though…)

Let’s fix it folks, the weak plots, the hollow characters, the lack of true continuity, all of it.

Let’s put pen to paper and re-write every aspect of the story until we have something that is worth framing the toys around.

How to contribute?

1. Write. Character bios, story ideas, sections, etc.
2. Critique. We need a consensus on what’s worth retaining and what is not worthwhile.
3. Amend. Keep an eye out for things that need to be fixed as we go through. Our goal will be to fix the continuing story, not create more plot holes.

This will take a while. It also should not count as “Fan-Fiction” as we’re discussing the points of the stories, filling in anything not canonical, and bridging the gap between the subbed Japanese shows and the American ones.

Here is the basic frame work for the timeline: Classics -> Armada -> Energon -> Cybertron

Here are the basic rules for character timelines:

1. Named characters make the progression that was presented in their toy form, ex. Classics Prime, Armada Prime, A. Prime PL, Energon Prime, Cybertron Prime, GF Cybertron Prime.
2. Oddities like the Deluxe version of Armada Prime are not to be considered.
3. Where the name is completely distinct from the toy (ex Mini-con Skylynx is NOT G1 Skylynx), the personalities shall remain separate.

The final rule: Arguments that are not constructive will be settled in an official manner my three judges, I and two others who will just make the call, plain and simple. This should be fun and creative, not a bitch-fest.

Loose Framework:

-The story would begin with the Classics cast coming to Earth for much the same reasons as in G1.

-A decisive battle would be fought which results in the near annihilation of most of the Classics cast.

-Any character who does not appear in Armada would end up in a near terminal stasis lock.

-Mini-Cons would be discovered by Rad, Carlos, and Alexis as in the show, this would escalate the conflict on Earth into a full blown war as both Prime and Megatron reformat into more powerful forms and recruit troops from Cybertron.

Oh interesting!
I'll help as soon as I get my Armada box, which could take a while.
The more I think about it the more I notice that Armada wasn't all crap.
but it's going to be triky to fit the classics into all this. :-?
