Twilight Zone 1985

Motto: "Ker-Klick... Choom!"

While looking around youtube I started thinking about the Twilight Zone that was re-launched in 1985.
There was an episode that I remember which was almost like an amalgamation of "A Kind of Stopwatch" and "Time Enough At Last" and due to the 80's tension with the nuclear arms race it freaked me out.

It was called "A little Peace And Quiet" and was directed by Horror movie master Wes Craven.

A Little Peace And Quiet Part 1

A Little Peace And Quiet Part 2

A Little Peace And Quiet Part 1

If you grew up in the late 70's to the mid 80's most people had this kind of "uneasy tension" about the always looming nuclear threat of Russia..

There is another episode called "Matter of Minutes" where a man and his wife somehow slip between minutes and see people working on "building and maintaining" the world around us.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Wasn't the movie from around that same time as well? I always preferred John Lithgow's version of the "Horror At 20,000 Feet" story to Shatner's. Dunno why.

And keeping with that atomic age feel, there was a film made around that time called "Threads", an English take on the idea, which was based on these God-awfully macabre leaflets titled "Protect and Survive", which freak me out even though the Cold War ended when I was two.
