Takara had something like this during G1, I think they are rare.

I remember these, actually. I still, somewhere, have an "A", "R", and I think "S" but I'm not sure on that one. I can't see them being worth anything but they were kinda neat when I was 5 XD

Mom sold my set of all 26 letters and 0-9 numbers on Ebay for $41.00 a year ago

They were my childhood

The only one that I have ever seen is on Tons-Of-Toys website http://www.tons-of-toys.com/. It is the letter "A". I don't know if it's a Transformer though?!?

This guy is pretty cool. Lots of vintage stuff. I've ordered from him in the past. Make sure to E-mail him first to make sure that what you want is still in stock.

Oh, and he's in Italy, so keep that in mind.

Oddly enough, my church children's program has a nearly-complete set of the letters and numbers. I've..uh...looked at them while working with kids on Sunday mornings. They're actually all fairly clever, for being letters and numbers that turn into robots. I'll try to check them for a copywrite or something on Sunday...
