What figures would you like to see from The Club?
- Weapon: Twin Sonic Cannons
One of the things that the Cub always asks of its Botcon Atendees is which molds/characters would they like to see? Now that The Club has its own forum, perhaps we could take this opportunity for our own suggestions.
My desires:
Pre-BW Terrorsaur from TF: Prime Starscream
Botanica from TFP Soundwave
Despite its low popularity, I'd love to complete the New Machine Wars line with Prowl from Mirage and Hoist from, well, Generations Hoist.
Machine Wars Soundwave and/or G2 Stalker from Cybertron Countdown (yeah, I know it's unlikely but a guy can dream)
And finally, with all the Combiner Wars coolness, would it be possible to get a new Nexus Prime?

Re: What figures would you like to see from The Club?
I'm with you on the Machine Wars figures needing completed. Unfortunately, the set didn't sell very well...
Hubcap and Prowl should be easy. Soundwave could be done from the Generations Perceptor mold. That just leaves Optimus and Megatron. I think Optimus from CW Motormaster with the Optimus head would work, but there'd be no need for the combining head. Megatron from Megaplex/Dreadwing (except this time with a new head) would be fine.
Other than that, Thunderwing from Cyclonus with either Cosmos or Swerve's Micromaster as the inner shell robot. Stranglehold from Rhinox. Crankcase from CW Swindle. Quake and Guzzle from CW Brawl. Rotorstorm from CW Blades. Ironfist from CW First Aid.

- Weapon: Battle Blades
- Axalon Unit 1 from Cybertron Clocker.
- Any use of Cybertron Menasor. I don't care if it's rainbow colored and named "Charlesinchargatron".
- Omnibots as a "Troop Builder" set. Really should be three different molds, but there are enough car molds at any given time to make that work.
- G1 Nacelle
- Any of the other canceled G2 product - but using the originally intended molds

These aren't must haves, just a few ideas to bounce around.
Sentinel Maximus from Combiner Wars Ultra Magnus
Nexus Prime w/ Aquarius all from Combiner Wars
Pretty much repaint Combiner Wars Bruticus (and swap out Swindle with Skydive for Skyfall), then have the guys that did the Pretender shell design Aquarius to go with him. Using one of the Scouts to combine with Nexus for Aquarius would also be acceptable. Added bonus, include Victorion's Sword as "The Cosmic Blade".
G2 Combiner Wars
Deluge from Dragstrip
Jetstorm from Hound
Drench from Breakdown
Gobots from Wildrider
Leadfoot from Dragstrip
Manta Ray from Breakdown (it'd be cool if the wheels could be removed and plugged to make it look like a speedboat)
Powerdive from Alpha Bravo
Ransack from Fireflight
Pyro from Hotspot
Clench from Motormaster

I've got a list. You want my list? You don't want my list. You can't handle my list. I'll hit some of the high points for me.
BW Grimlock from Universe Dinobot. C'mooon already.
MW Optimus Prime from Generations Orion Pax. I know folks are probably sick of the mold but I'm hard pressed to think of a more appropriate one.
MW Hubcap from Classics Kup.
MW Prowl.
MW Megaplex and Megatron from the Stealth Megatron mold.
MW Soundwave from the FOC voyager Soundwave.
Redwing.
Sunstorm from the FOC seeker mold.
Jhiaxus (comic deco) from Generations Jhiaxus.
Omega Doom and Omega Spreem from Cybertron Menasor.
Nightracer (Botcon spychanger deco) Legends Tailgate mold.
Nightracer (TFCC comic deco) Generations Arcee.
CW Nexus Prime.

I see a lot of Machine Wars in this thread, and yeah, it'd be nice, but I'm pretty sure they like money and MW did not generate that. Those of us posting on a TF board are the market that'd want that, but unfortunately the more casual collectors spoke, and they don't want Machine Wars updates :/ Maybe it'd be possible to sneak one or two with crossover appeal into the FSS at least? Although that wouldn't really go along with Hasbro's desire for more synergistic product.

How about making the "cameos" from A Common Foe? Only five of them:
G2 Eagle Eye/Hawk from Gen. Armada Starscream
G2 Turbofire/Hotrider from Gen. T30 Trailcutter
G1 Blue Bacchus from 2010 Tomahawk
G1 Rotorstorm from Gen. FoC Vortex
G2 Nightracer from Gen. Tailgate
Other than those... Let me think...

I want to see all the new SG Autobots introduced in the Another Light prequel, especially simple to make since most of them are straight redecoes of Generations figures: Trailcutter, Swerve, Tailgate. Still waiting on SG Ironhide and SG Dirge too; unfortunately the latter seems to be out of the running.
I'd also hope for a Misfire figure from the Armada Starscream mold, and reaaaaalllyy wish TFSS 4.0 Spinister had a proper new headsculpt a la the Charticon 2013 one.
I'm also hoping we finally get a Beast Wars Uprising Dinobot from the Generations Springer mold, but I'm about 80% sure that'll be in next year's BotCon boxset.

I did ask Pete myself about this at Botcon after the club panel. He did say it was coming and that he was going to Tweet about it. I suppose it just never happened. It's a crazy busy weekend for them. I assume he just forgot. I'm only relaying what he said. I hope it happens too. I really enjoyed it. I hope there's a comic much like it for the subscription figures this year or a continuation of the con comic.
Speaking for Machine Wars, yes again. Let's just get it over with already. It should have been a one and done set. There's literally more toy slots per convention than characters in the original line. I feel like the subscription is the best place for that too. Slot in a character or two per year until it's done. I need Hubcap at the very least. Electro(n) is a nice figure but it should have been Hubcap instead.

After this year's offering of Diaclone figures, it would be so obviously easy for them to make a Powered Convoy out of CW Leader Ultra Magnus, complete with Minimus Ambus redecoed as PC's facial-haired human pilot.

I have something to add that is super important! Skywarp and Thundercracker from the Generations Cyber Battalion Starscream (picture below of the base mold for those unfamiliar, though I'm sure the crowd in this forum knows it well):
Maybe use some different "Null Rays" and throw in a matching pair for 'Screamer here, then you'd take care of one of the three flaws keeping that figure from being a fantastic new "Classics" version of the seekers.

I'm all for this. In fact, I could see Takara doing a MP Powered Convoy as a new Transformers character a la Tigertrack and Exhaust, while the Club could do the Leader mold as the human-piloted Diaclone mech, thus giving us fans both versions of Diaclone homages (new TF character and Cymond Cluster mech) from the same source of inspiration.ScottyP wrote:I'm all for this. My list is full of Unicron Trilogy fanwankery because homages to childhood Transformers would absolutely financially murder me:
* Armada Cyclonus from Hunt For the Decepticons Tomahawk w/ Crumplezone from Dark of the Moon Legends Guzzle
* Cybertron Red Alert from the Cannonball usage of Prime Ratchet
* Energon Omnicons from various Combiner Wars dudes (Skyblast from Skydive, Strongarm from either Swindle/Hound or Generations Swerve/Gears, maybe Signal Flare from Legends Warpath, etc.)
* Armada Scavenger from Generations Scoop w/ Rollbar from Generations Swerve/Gears
* Armada Wheeljack from Universe (2008) Sideswipe
* Energon Cruellock from Universe (2008) Dinobot
* Armada Sidweays and/or Energon Arcee from... Combiner Wars Legends Groove?
* Energon Optimus Prime w/ Prime Force from Combiner Wars Optimus Prime, Alpha Bravo, First Aid, ???, and ???
* Energon Hot Shot from Generations Deluxe Bumblebee/Nightbeat
* Energon Sixshot from Generations Voyager Whirl
* Armada Supermode Optimus Prime from Combiner Wars Ultra Magnus w/ Sparkplug from Minimus Ambus
Now that that's out of the way, time for stuff that people would actually buy:
* Pyro from Combiner Wars Hot Spot
* Rotorstorm from (do I even have to say it?)
* Guzzle from Combiner Wars Brawl
* Ironfist from Combiner Wars First Aid
* Armada Cyclonus from Hunt For the Decepticons Tomahawk w/ Crumplezone from Dark of the Moon Legends Guzzle

Do not want. Do not ever want. If we're going to continue getting Seeker repaints, the FOC and new Armada bodies are perfect for me. Who doesn't want IDW Sunstorm from the FOC body? Heretics, that's who. I'd accept Redwing from that with open arms as well.

With the human characters lately using GI Joe figures, here's an idea. MTMTE Holo-Avatar boxed set. Or at least Verity. Verity is a license to print money.
