They cxame from a show called Gridman; always reminded me of Ultraman meets Power Rangers. I still have most of the toys in a box somewhere; they were sold at KB and TRU.

I had some of the mini and deluxe figures. They were pretty crappy quality and the line didn't last long because of it. It was like 1993 and I got them at Venture (remember that place!). I remember they had a whole endcap filled with these toys. I never saw the show, but from what I hear it's crap. I think these were released in the USA by Playmates toys, the ones who made Simpsons and Ninja Turtles figures.

If you mean the orange guy in the center of the pic you linked to then no. It looks like either a fan made mode someone made in a 3-D program or it might have originally appeared in one of the comic books. But no toy was produced.
