There is more to Transformers than movies, cartoons, comics and toys. Discuss anything else Transformers here.

What's in a Classic? What adds to the line?

Motto: "Continue building from within, attack your designated target, defend everyone."
Weapon: Double-Barreled, Armor-Piercing Particle Beam Cann...
Can't sleep...listening to the lovely rain outside...

Decided to post:

So there are multiple defenitions of classic for this question:

1) The unforgettable, the memorable, the original, the set standard...(eg: the G1 characters)

2) The later examples which rivalled or surpassed the first (eg: The Beast Wars show, Alternators level of detail vs. scale)

3) Isolated moments, which, if there was a checklist of what would make a classic a classic, would get all the boxes ticked, maybe even add a new criteria to the list (eg: Alternity, Movieverse concept of Transformation and anatomy,R.I.D fusion of G1/2 & Beast wars anatomy, PCC MiniCons & sculpt detail).

So, The Questions:
1)Which pieces, segments or parts of any type of TF product would you add to the Classics list, and therefore the Classics line-up?

2) Which of same would you keep out?

(Defenition of Classics line-up, for this thread, implies pretty much the same model gets an upgrade based on new toy technology, with limited to no changes of actual backstory or character look and feel but Size category is open to change).

My considerations/ Offerings (assuming all of G1 counts as Clasics by default):

In:
*Speed planet Crumplezone OR Dark Crumplezone.
*Transmetals 2 Dinobot.
*Tf1 or RotF Optimus Prime.
*Theoretically, since I haven't seen 'em up close yet, the TF3 'Wreckers'.
*Animated Wreck Gar.
*Animated Blurr.
*Alternators Laserwave.
*Energon Divebomb.
*G2 Illuminator Electro.

Out:
*Armada Smokescreen.
"Everyone has a hobby.Even people who say they don't still have one under another name.If we're sick, injured, we still go to it and get down to see how it is.If it needs something, we bring it,make sure the attention is perfect. It exercises our care and protection and gives us back philosophies. It's a living thing to us,and is the most perfect way to teach a young person how to be towards a living thing. It's something that should never be taken away."
