When is Classics 2 coming out and what figures will it have?

Prime with a trailer isn't a must have. This isnt G1 but a kinda updated version of G1, and do you see a tractor with the trailer 24/7? Prime didnt in G1 and G2. The old G1 trailer was also kinda pointless too..Opens up came with roller and that crane/cannon thingamajigger.
I read couple months ago on here Hasbro said there will be a Ultra Magnus in the new Classics/Universe line with a new mold and believe they are not repainting prime as UM anymore I could be wrong (correct me on this, I'm not sure).
As for the figures, if they do indeed re-release the older chars from Wave 1 then perhaps they MAY even release some botcon repaints since most collectors (including me =\) are unable to attend cons due to work and such.
Just what me thinks. Counterpunch for President. Indeeeed

Just a thought.......
But maybe Hasbro could give Optimus with a trailer another shot by making the set an Exclusive to Target or Toysrus or something. Send only Optimus himself to walmarts and bigger stores and send the ones with a trailer to smaller stores.
They could find out real quick if people seek out the ones with trailers. They won't have to produce as many with trailers and if they all sell out then they know they could produce more.
Or....
Make an Optimus w/ Trailer an online exclusive to Hasbrotoyshop.com or other online toy websites.
At least give those of us who love the trailer a chance to get one.

The problem with that is Hasbro would still need to produce this thing, which according to them is too expensive. I love G1 and I love the Classics line ... but a trailer isn't all that import as I only display my figures in robot mode and a 12-14 inch brick that either just folds in half or does nothing isn't really a must have for me. The only way I could see this selling is if they released the trailer with a "combining feature" much like G1 Magnus's toy. Maybe an updated trailer that turns into something like Apex Armor, that way it's not just a trailer, it's a useful part of the toy.

I'd like to see more dinobots like they did with Grimlock
Also I wish they would do a Combiner team using brand new molds. It would be sweet to see the Stunticons or Predaking again

Yeah I'm not too attached to the Classics Grimlock. I bought the Energon Grimlock and Swoop but wasn't impressed with those molds for sure.

While I do like Prime to have a trailer, you also have to store it or display it and unless it becomes part of him ( which people dont seem to like ) its dead space.

Yep. I'm pleased Classics prime had no trailer. It justs ends up taking up shelf space which could be used to display other figures.
We know for certain that we are getting 10 deluxes and 4 ultras.
We know we are getting a NEW MOLD for Galvatron, Octane, and Sunstreaker and Sideswipe.
Ultra Magnus was talked about at botcon, but I don't think it was said whether it would be for Universe or Animated?
Since we already have Classics Magnus, I bet Ultra Magnus will be for Animated.
So, there are known deluxes and one known Ultra. Who knows what the others are?
There are at least three waves worth of figures there. And hopefully Hasbro will continue to produce more new Universe molds after that. I'm desperate to get all the season 1 G1 characters before this world runs out of plastic!

Some bigger Autobots and Decepticons would be nice, like Classics jetfire or whatnot.

Magnus, 2 Dinobots: Grimlock and I think Slag(not sure though) and Shockwave are now Animated certainties. As such will see no release in Universe. As was said at Botcon, if the character gets a figure in one line, it won't get one in the other line.
Galvatron, Octane sideswipe and Sunstreaker are confirmed for Universe which is so far scheduled for release in Fall of 2008. more than a year away.
Hasbro did say there would be a combiner, who or what is still unknown.
To recap, Movie line will keep going up to Christmas or so. when Animated should start taking over form what we have heard so far. Animated will run its course through next year, and in Fall we will start seeing Universe. Whether Animated will have ended by then or not, is still also unknown. It will probably still continue with maybe its last few waves.

Is this a combiner other than the Seacons, who I think are being released as a club exclusive?

Last few waves?! I certainly hope Animated will be good enough to continue for several seasons worth of toys and shows.

That is somewhat incorrect, what correctly should be stated from Botcon was:
Hasbro said the movie line will continue until summer 2008, the animated series starts in January 2008, Universe (or classics 2.0) starts in the fall of 2008.

I fail to see how the movie line will have enough momentum to last until 2008. How many more repaints or new characters can they produce?
As for Animated, there still is no date for the toy release. All we know is the cartoon may start either in December or January. (This is directly from the Animated Website)
As for Universe, yes we will start seeing them in Fall of 2008.

Well if anymore distribution problems happen such as what has happened over the last month, the movie line could go into 2009

Hasbro has said the Movie line is a full year line just like Cybertron, just like Energon, Just like Armada, etc.. And yes they still have substancial plans for it. I was at Botcon, I saw the presentation.
Which is why I know when Animated will hit, they said January.

I was under the Impression they were gonna do a Classics Ultra that was an all new Ultra Magnus (supodedly armour and all). Remember the current 'classics' Magnus was a store exclusive in the US (and might as well have been too in the UK).

I bet they will rerelease the first wave again so they can make more money on them but you will NEVER see the Botcon set made on cards they already said this at Botcon... They said if you wanted them they were available to buy and evryone should have taken the oppurtunity to purchase them.. They went on to say it wouldn't be fair to reissue Thundercracker, Thrust, Dirge, etc... in stores as they were an exclusive to Botcon and people paid some $$$ money for them... You might see others done like Sunstorm and such but not the ones I mentioned...

Thanx, and as a matter of fact I did photoshop them err. paintshopped them since it wasn't done in Photoshop, but in Pant Shop Pro. .
Anyway, That's the Deluxe Prime mould they showed at Botcon.
Supposedly Prime's Cybertronian Mode.
For you viewing pleasure, The Voyager Prime Prototype in resin, also got the Nemesis treatment., And i think the Voyager looks better.
