Which Transformers toy do you think is the hardest the transform?

Postby Tenkyoen [AKA: WheelBar!] » Thu Jul 26, 2007 12:36 am

Plain and simple. any toy goes. Which do you think it is?!

I'm putting my money on RID Deluxe Ultra Magnus (I say deluxe because there is a smaller version of him.)

Those instructions were so long and the toy is so complicated that I don't even bother changing it anymore....^_^;

MP Megatron, easy. Even for me, who's pretty good at transforming figures quickly, takes about 6 minutes to transform him in either mode.

Wasn't there already a thread about this...

Anyway for me, I haven't had a lot of experience with the Transforming toys but I do own Energon Jetfire... and we lost instructions for him... so yeh I don't know how to transform him anymore...

Since I live in Asia, shipments from Japan come pretty quick. I got him two days after he was released.

I looked and didn't see anything...anyway, someone else said that this would make a good debate...

I still think RID Magnus is the hardest! ^_^

So far, Movie Ironhide. I'm pretty confident in my abilities to Transform the toys, but after he came out of his box I transformed him into robot mode and can't get him to go back into truck mode. something weird with the hips.

Before Ironhide, Binaltech Grimlock. Fiddly.

I'd have to give ths one to MP Megs over SS. SS is a little messy the first time, but once you've done it, it is pretty easy. MP Megs is always an adventure. Not just due to fragility, but also as it is a pain to get all the panels and tabs to line up and slot intp place correctly for the alt mode.

MEGS wins hands down.

Wow, you think movie Ironhide is more difficult than Binaltech/Alternators Grimlock? I'd have to say Alternators Grimlock has the most difficult transformation. For me some of the movie figures are a bit complicated but they don't even come close to the level of complexity that the Alternators line has.

of the toys i have, MP megs (you have to be so careful and spend a lot of time applying pressue on both sides of a piece just to push in place without snapping and getting the pieces of the) also binaltech meister who i transform now and again and always seem to find an issue getting the hips and legs facing the right way. Of the toys truly aimed at kids my diaclone 'jazz' is trickyish, the mid section which gets folded and getting the windshield back in can be difficult when going back to car mode, the said toy which i bought mint has become quite floppy now!! Much loved though.

Alternators Grimlock still has me puzzled about how the shoulders rotate in under the hood.

Then its a tie between jumpstarters and throttlebots.

6 minutes? i seriously think thats the most impresive thing ive ever heard. it took me almostan hour to put him in gun mode the 1st time. after i put him back to robot mode i swore to never do it again...lol

all those other ones people mentioned are difficult too, but i have to say that g1 Hybrid Style convoy is a pain to transform too. I ve only done it once or twice without something popping off.

Voyager Ironhide was my first TF toy EVER and by far more difficult than I ever imagined. It took me like 50-some minutes and made me feel like a total newb. He will never go back into alt mode...ever.

Ask me again in 6 months and I hope to have a better answer.

of the toys i own, i'd say alternators silverstreak.

i just can't get the car mode right. the roof won't fit right, the legs won't fold right... i really don't know if the design is just too flimsy in car mode.

maybe a cool competition at a convention would be a MP megs speed transformation, well without breaking it.

He's a cool fig, but realy hard to transform! Especialy wen you see how thin the plastic is, but he does hold quite a beating.

MP Megs was difficult the first time, and still time-consuming, but I've got it down now.

The one that gives me a hard time, every single time, is Alternators Grimlock.
