Jazz's death might have been badly done, but he sort of had it coming. He was one of the only G1 characters to survive the original movie, and he only died once in the Marvel book. (That's well below the average.)

Unless I've been wrong for 20 years or so, isn't that Ratchet and Megs?

thats why he needs to be back, for that reason.

What do you suggest? His torso and his leg section no longer are attached.
More accurately, at what point of damage do you feel a Transformer should REALLY die?

EDIT: Wait, Megatron had the life-giving Allspark crammed in his chest.
Jazz's body was dumped in the ocean (I guess) with Megatron's body.

Soooo...

Yikes.

but bb was able to handle the cube in the first palce and when he was with it when his legs got blown off it didn't fix them, or fix his voice.. and brawl seemed to take alot of damage wherer blackout didn't seem to get much, yet they both died. i don't think i ever saw ratchet or ironhide take more than a shot or two..
i think it's users descretion on how much damage a bot/con can take.

have to remember, it's only some of us transformer nerds that are not satisfied with how Jazz, a strong resemblance to our 20 year old character, died and how it was treated. For alot of the people seeing this movie, Jazz is just the same as blackout or another no namer.

Maybe his death wasnt really important becuz they are just planning to bring him back.

I got this on wikipedia:

However, a new released Jazz toy from Hasbro and Target with the G1 colors, has a description on Jazz's possible future: " During the long process of being rebuilt by AUTOBOT RATCHET, there was a lot of time to think. AUTOBOT JAZZ digs his Earth vehicle form, but the silver paint job had always left something to be desired. It got scratched too easily, for one thing, and dust stuck to it like cyberflies on old oil. Also, it wasn't nearly eye-catching enough. Just because he's supposed to be in disguise doesn't mean he can't be noticed. With help from BUMBLEBEE and AUTOBOT RATCHET, he picked this color scheme as the one most likely to get him appreciative looks from all the humans he passes on the freeway."

In a recent interview, the movie staff tell of a rumor that Jazz will be rebuilt in the possible sequel as a tougher frame. Maintaining the movie look, but with a different color scheme and slight modifications. It is suspected that his restoration is possible with the fragment of Allspark found in Megatron's chest once he is killed. Ironically, he was the one of the few G1 survivors of the animated "Transformers:The Movie" in 1986.

I actually thought it was sad when he died. Megatron was an ass! DX But at least Jazz went out trying to kiss his ass anyway! I can see how it might be POSSIBLE to bring him back, but I don't know if they would want to, if only because once you start bringing back characters that have died, it starts a very big mess. Just look at Marvel comics, and the famous saying: "Someone died? Give them a month." Once you start that, their death no longer has any signifigance.

Jazz did deserve a better part, and to have his character toned down. However, I don't think the movie was 'racist'. The african american characters and people were all really different. Racism stems from stereotyping and racial profiling, and insisting that they are all 'the same'.

Besides, my girlfriend is african american and she watched the movie with me. If she felt that it was particularily racist, she would have told me right away like she does with everything else.

I find it completely hilarious that people are taking for fact that he will be brought back simply because of his bio on the back of a repaint Hasbro is putting out aimed at the nostalgia market.

It's a bio ... to sell a repainted figure. He's dead and I seriously doubt they'd resurrect him for a second movie in those colours.
