Enough with the blasters and bumper battlers! Hasbro needs to stop making this shelf/peg warming garbage. Stores can't sell this stuff. That's all there is to it. They can't sell it. And if the stores can't sell it, Hasbro stops sending them anything at all. Seriously. Hasbro doesn't care if the stores can sell a whole shipment of 08 BBs in minutes. If they can't sell the blasters and helmets and junk, Hasbro won't send them 08 BBS either. I know. I've asked storeworkers about it. They all say the same thing. Hasbro stopped the shipments because they aren't selling enough stock. Hasbro does not differentiate between sales of mainline figures and sales of the kiddy garbage.
I am seriously considering writing Hasbro to complain about this. Because Hasbro clogged stores with this stuff, I wasn't able to buy Scorponok, Wreckage, Swindle, Dreadwing, Payload, Arcee, Dropkick, longarm, Leader Brawl, the legends, any Toys R Us exclusives, any Target exclusives, any allspark power figures.
And Hasbro is planning to make more blasters and bumper battlers for the Animated line.
I've had enough.
I'm never purchasing another Hasbro product. I'm not ordering anything online either. It costs more and I shouldn't have to do it. I should be able to find what I want in stores but I can't. I will no longer support Hasbro or any of its lines.
Does anyone else feel as angry as I am?
The bumper battlers and all that are for little kids. The movie introduced transformers to a whole new generation. My little cousin had no clue what a transformer was untill he saw the movie. I dont understand why you have to stop collecting because a item you dont like on the shelf is there. If you dont like it dont buy it. Your missing out if you are going to stop collecting. With classics 2.0 and the animated line of figures coming out, You will be missing out on some cool ass figures. Where do you live? Every store i go into has payload longarm and all the other figures you named. They are all great figures.

I believe his point is that he won't buy TFs from local shops cos local shops don't stoc them and he won't buy from the web cos he can't find anything at less than greatly inflated prices. Which is silly cos all it takes is some research and patience.

So I guess the only option for you will be to move to a different city, because of your hobby, to a place where they sell True Transformers, not the kiddy Garbage. LOL.You are taking this alittle bitt to a extreme level, dont you think?. Nothing wrong with beeing Transformers fan, heck, I have been all my life, and had few collections of them, all sizes, I had G1 Megatron, G1 Shockwave, and Scorponok all complete. Yet I am not complaining about what Hasbro stocks the store around here.

Of course it's a drought. This is the "Between Lines" Phase of Transformers. All the good figures are out, and all the **** that even completionists don't want lines the shelves. Between G1 and G2, G2 and Beast Wars, and so on until you come to now, between the Movie and Animated. When has this ever NOT happened?

A drought? Man I picked up Premium Ironhide last night at Target.
It was a choice between him and Blackout. Man Ironhide looks gooood.
High gloss paint job and shined up wheels. I'm glad I put off buying certain figs from the start and this guy is 10x better looking than the original release.
Maybe I'm squeezing water from a rock, but there are definitely Transformers out there to buy.

I think there's some Tfs out there to buy as far as i'm concerned. I'm still trying to comp. my G1 line so until then i try to buy what i like and can't wait for the Universe and Animated lines! I understand sometimes though about the money and it can get expensive especially with G1. When that happens i take a break from my G1 collecting and stick with the newer figs. for a while!

hehe, well she had banned me from ebay for a while, she didnt think £40 for complete excellent condition hardhead was good value, in fact, she thought it was a total rip off lol. She soon calmed down, in fact shes the one who bought me my maximus (when it eventually turns up) because she thought for £200 it was a bargain

Yea and I just got Incinerator, Landmine, and Photon from my local Wal-Mart. They had craploads of each, aswell as Stockade, the AllSpark power scouts, Voyager Starscream, Megatron, and Ratchet, and those Cybertron Repaints. And every store in my district has leader class figures coming out the wazoo.

Hm. Perhaps I should have said "Swarms upon swarms of repaints."

The repaints aren't so bad if you didn't buy the first ones out

As a store owner (and not a toystore, mine is a deli) I'll reveal the great secret of retail, or at least one of them.
You need to find a few items that you can sell for obscene profit margins ompared to the rest of them.
Repaints are an item like that because they don't have to keep making all these molds.
If you don't like a repaint, and there's a lot I don't, just don't buy it, it's as simple as that, guys.
