I've seen some of the S7 vid before but not the Grimlock 1. How do you get to them on the site, because all i can find is the Blackout 1 and the http://www.sectorseven.org/map/ transformers in the skies things.
On the map thing, my local news team is the 1 in the UK that talks about the UFO/transformers. (Go West Yorkshire!)
I don't really want to see the dino-bots in the next film, I mean how can a dino-bot hide in either of it's forms?
WTF? Is that grimlock??!

If they do decide to make Dinobots (which I hope they don't), make them quick & agile... you know, like how dinosaurs REALLY were. Not slow, dumb & fat.
Actually, the most recent research suggests that the top speed of the T.Rex was around 11 mph, with a full 2 seconds for a 45° turn.
Where did you hear that? The last I heard, the top speed for a T-Rex was around 34 MPH, and that was on Walking with Dinosaurs on Discovery Channel.
That's what all the research I've read shows (25 to 35 MPH). Also, research suggests that females were thicker (more muscular) than males, so it is possible that the sexes had different run speeds.
Also, T. rex did not drag its tail on the ground and walk with an almost vertical spine, like ye olde Grimlock.

The study that suggests the T.Rex to be fairly unimpressive in the speed department is quite recent. Amongst other places, you can read about it here:

Of course that doesn't mean that Grimlock would have to be slow. He's not limited by biology, after all.

Me, Grimlock, not some dumb slow dino, me Grimlock KING! ..As you well know. No think Grimlock be in next movie..sorry. Okay, enough of that. My take is that if Grimlock is brought in, he'd be newly uncovered, having come to earth a looooooong time ago, and should be reformatted into a ginormous gravedigger style monster truck. But.. that's just my own personal wet dream.

Well, even those two articles (including the study in 2002) state that they could run up to 25 MPH, and those are just theories based upon computer models. In the documentary When Dinosaurs Roamed America, they discuss that T-Rex hunted in packs with the young chasing the prey into the jaws of their mother who ambushed the victim. So, while the adult may have been slower, the adolecents were more swift. Still 25 to 35 MPH is probably pretty accurate.Creature SH wrote:The study that suggests the T.Rex to be fairly unimpressive in the speed department is quite recent. While I agree he woun't look like he did in that video clip, I highyl doubt he would appear as a car. He will be a robotic T-Rex, though more like Skorponok in overall aesthetic.

Grimlock in the video is G1 design.
Nothing against G1. But during the 80's T-rex were thought to be those big fat slow giants.
Starting the 90's, more studies were made of the T-rex dinosaurs. Updated knowledge about it were that it's more streamline and agile, and very fast. It's got smaller bellies, the head hangs lower, the tail more massive and sturdy to balance out the weight of the big head. It has a straight backline from the head to the tip of the tail.
Classics Grimlock reflects these new knowledge about T-rex more accurately.
This makes the Grimlock design in the video quite inaccurate and obsolete.
I'm sure that won't pass for this new Movie sequel.

I'm going to be quite heretical here, but I'm thinking have the 'Cons and the Constructicons totally hooning the Autobots, who incidentally are looking for a lost legion of Autobots possibly lost on Earth around prehistoric times?
That way we get Dino-Forms even for a while, before someone sacreligiously turns then into cars. Tanks and stuff would be alright, very War Within but not cars. Meh!
Here's where I get a bit more heretical, have Devestator face off against this guy:

He's got some pretty far-out powers to go along with them, too, including teleportation, the projection of trippy telepathic visions and illusions, and the ability to groove on the language of 98% of all known species. To uses his powers to the fullest, though, he's gotta be feelin' good vibrations; bad karma can seriously harsh his mellow, y'know?
