Top three Autobots:

Optimus, because we've all seen the legend in action, but it was so great seeing "the rise of Optimus Prime" from literally out of nowhere from the in unverse perspective. It totally made me fall in love with the concept of the character all over again the way the movie failed to do.

Sentinel Prime: Yeah, he's a jerk all right, but in all honesty it made him really stand out from the hundreds of yes men that usually surround an Optimus Prime. To me it really showed how vast and fleshed out the Autobot army is with this guy.

Bulkhead: I loved the sheer amount of change this character underwent, also for being the only Bot in the group that wanted to be repair bot, but still being able to kick butt in a fight. I really want to see a G1 version of this guy. Kind like how Lockdown and Lugnut got to be re-imagined for other lines.

Honorable mention goes to: Jazz and Prowl, Ratchet and Perceptor.

Top three Decepticons:

Megatron: literally one of best versions of Megatron to date, in that he actually had notable victories.

Starscream: also one of the best versions of the character, and for being the closest Screamer to actually kill Megatron.

Swindle: It's like Fred Willard literally crawled his way into Swindle's mind and made it his own.

Honorable mention: Lockdown, Blitzwing, Lugnut, Slipstream, and the seekers.

Sentinel Prime is a stand-out for me; he was flippin hilarious, he was such a d**k! :lol:

I really liked Lockdown too, he was just a fun character all-around.

Easily Lugnut. His booming, mechanized voice is pretty much what I'd imagine any real-life Decepticon to actually sound like if they spoke to us in our own language. He also reminds me a lot of Tidal Wave/Mirage, one of my favorite Decepticons ever. They're both big, dumb, and loyal to a fault, fawning over Megatron and bullying anyone who doesn't worship him in the same capacity.

On the Autobot side, I'd have to say Ratchet, although Sentinel Prime and his Public Service Announcement were hilarious. Ratchet has always been my favorite Autobot, though. Not sure why. I like the fact that he's the tough, grizzled old medic, and it's amazing that he's voiced by the same actor as Megatron & Shockwave. I also thought his weaponry was creative and unique for the series, and I thought they did a really good job with his flashbacks and developing his history with Arcee and Lockdown.

My favorite one goes two ways. Hardest transformation of the toyline: Deluxe Megatron. T.v. show Jazz and Grimlock. Evryone downgrades Grimlock and I hate that. He is by far better than the other stupid characters of the franchise. He's smarter than Devastator, and that is a mother-slaggin miracle and a half because they are portrayed wiht equal intelligence. Hate Dirt Boss though. Like him better in the Unicron Trilogy.

Starscream because he was the closest Scremer to overthrow Megatron. Not to mention that he is too persistent and that the voice action is pure win.

I have a couple form this series.

Megatron: they actually made a competent and evil version in this series, one of his best incarnations without a doubt.

Lockdown: the guys a bounty hunter and has a hook for a hand what more do you need.

Blurr: I really liked his design and even though I haven't bothered with any of the animated figures ill probably pick up his because its just so cool.

stascream, lugnutt, shockwave and bumblebee were good as well.

Because his speed was represented really well and he wasn't a dipshit like in G1. He's all business in animated and very competent.

Megatron
A very kickass Megatron. I love the voice. He just sounds extra villainous.

I like several.
Grimlock: How couldn't love this guy. He's awesome.

Ultra Magnus: For some reason, I really liked him. He's just plain awesome.

Jetfire: Prabably my favorite Transformer, to me, he is the perfect 'Bot.

Starscream: My favorite 'Con, he's probably one of the coolest Transformer ever.

Megatron- Arguably the most evil version we've seen. Very GeeWunnish. His dark, raspy voice was just awesome.
Ultra Magnus- Come on! He was the first Magnus to be the Autobot supreme leader. He also had a giant hammer. Just epic overall.
Optimus Prime- The first to be a real underdog only being leader of a small Autobot group, but ultimately proved he could be a true hero.
Wasp- Gotta love his voice and way of speaking.

Least favorites:
Sentinel Prime- The guy's just an arrogant jerk.
