Agreed. Replace the doofy arms with something more proportional, and this could have rocked.

Actually, these arms look pretty close in proportion to the game. I am sorely tempted by this. Fortunately, the price is too far out there...

You're so silly, you don't want to pay the asking price BUT you want to spend even more than that to get a different set of arms. Look, it's your preference and all, but this is borderline ludicrous.
Also, Giant was right around that price yet smaller than Genesis. So, it seems you're getting a bit more for your money with this piece. However, I'm still not willing to spend $375 on it, either.

This is exactly what I was getting at. This is a replica of WfC Omega. It looks remarkably like it (which is why I'm so tempted). I cannot even fathom anyone creating G1 arms for this as the addition of the G1 arms will need the addition of G1 chest, legs, wings, and possibly a head to make it look G1 at all.

You don't have to defend it. You don't have to like it. It's not meant for you. I think your energy would be better spent waiting for an actual Classics Omega of some sort from somebody.

The games are much more of a continuity than the movies, considering they require much more involvement. Also they're connected to the larger Aligned continuity which encompasses Prime, Rescue Bots, and a couple novels. I'm honestly surprised WFC didn't get more toys, but they're making up for it in Generations Redux. Clearly there is enthusiasm for this figure as it is, with most of the complaints stemming from its high price. And Hercules was always meant to be G1 Devastator, not sure what you're trying to pull there. His vanilla mode is a little different with the tread forearms, but that doesn't make him resemble the other Devastator in the slightest. I get that you want a Classics G1 Omega, but I think you're barking up the wrong tree trying to turn this into one. But that's just my opinion.

It's a waste of time hoping someone turns this into a G1 Omega Supreme. It's really nothing like G1 Omega in terms of overall design. You're better off just waiting for something you like to come around.

I just dont consider video games continuities. I consider them blank scripts where the player beats characters of various strengths. No real fiction here, just graphics. And with all these new school game systems that let you pick to be a hero or a villian or play live online with a bunch of strangers, it makes it even less of a continuity and more of a novelty. Now if someone would take the FOC characters and make a comic or cartoon, then we have something. Kind of like what theyre doing with Machine Wars at Botcon. Theyre creating a continuity for a bunch of repaints that never had one. Or take Diaclone for instance, it's not a continuity. It's just a line of toys. Hasbro provided the fiction to give them a continuity. To my knowledge, Hasbro hasnt provided any fiction for WFC/FOC other than character bios and the game itself. it's still just artwork, toys, and a blank script. If Im missed a comic or something, now would be a great time for Sodan-1 to pop up and tell me where I can find WFC/FOC fiction besides the game itself...
On Genesis being converted to classics with an add on kit:
It's all a question of how much aesthetics matter in the eyes of the individual collector...
* He has all the necessary G1 colors more or less in the right places.
* He has the famous G1 turret head and face under the windshield.
* He has the G1 style wings curved outwards.
* He has a claw arm and a blaster arm like G1, just too big and the wrong color.
How much more does he need to be considered "Neo Classics" besides eliminating the Ape Look ? You know some famous customizer is going to do it sooner or later ! Theyll probally paint one as a Sentinal too...You know it cmon now !

Wanna make this figure truly awesome ? Change the stupid monkey arms for shorter, more streamlined arms that are proportioned with the body. It's Omega Supreme, not Apeface.
