Ok most of you guys know way more than me about TFs so my question is this: Are the Allspark, the Fallen, and Sentinel Prime all things that were made up for the Bay films? I don't remember any of them from the old 80's cartoons.
My thought is that no matter what we can possibly conceive for TF4...the writers will make up something else that we've never heard of and surprise us. I know the Allspark and the Fallen surprised me. So did SP to an extent..I guessed that OP would have some kind of a predecessor to possibly show up so ... alas...
help?!?

They were all previously conceived concepts. As far as I know all the movies are based off of something already existing in the TF universe, even plots of episodes, though poorly executed.

The Fallen and Sentinel Prime where in G1 comics. Well The Fallen was in the newer ones. The Allspark was referenced in other series but never seen.
