Does anyone know why the little tabs on the backs of the hands/top of the feet come off?
Also, why do two of the spines on Snarl have pegs on them?

Question about Generation Selects Volcanicus
Looking for the Megatron gun (or just the stock) that came with 20th anniversary MP Optimus Prime.

The tabs are removable so you can insert a Prime Master in there, enhancing the powers of each figure, IIRC. Not sure about Snarl's plates.

Selects Volcanicus reuses the Combiner Hands of Selects King Poseidon, those tabs cover the ports used for the Seacons' Weapon Modes: they connect via their Combiner Pegs.
Also, why do two of the spines on Snarl have pegs on them?
Volcanicus was originally part of Power of the Primes, those pegs are to attach the little Prime/Titan/Headmasters or Decoy Armor/Pretender Suit/Shells.
Why doesn't Hasbro just stick to one single name?
