I'm considering getting one of these figures: Buster Optimus Prime or Masterpiece Megatron. However, I can only really afford one of them right now. Honestly, I'd rather get Buster Prime because I'll get the most use out of it--considering that my Masterpiece Prime sits on the shelf most of the time. HOWEVER, I know that the reissue of Masterpiece Megs is a really good opportunity to get this figure. And I do want this figure, but it's mostly to be able to transform him once or twice and display with my Masterpiece OP.

Normally I wouldn't start a thread on something so specific, but both these figures are really expensive and there aren't too many reviews on them (well, Buster Prime anyway).

What would you do? And "get both" is a valid answer, I guess.

MP Megs...despite all the hate he is still one of my fav MPs and a engineering marvel. Besides if you have MP Prime then you kinda have to! :lol:

Buster Prime looks really cool but I just could never justify that price tag just for a mouth, chrome and a transformable gun.

MP Megs. This might be the last chance at the MP version at a reasonable price. If you miss out on Buster, you can always get a Hasbro version later, if you don't already have one.

Gonna have vote Buster here. I just never get tired of looking at him. He has a fantastic presence.

Both, if possible. If not, MP Megs all the way. I have both and if I had to get rid of one or the other Buster OP would be hittin' the road. MP Megs is an amazing figure, not nearly as fragile as some would lead you to believe, and the perfect counterpoint to your MP Prime. Buster is also an incredible figure, but he's a repaint/remold of a figure you can pick up at Wal-Mart of $40.00. The chrome and gun are nice, but they don't win out over MP Megs in my opinion.

I own and love them both, but given the choice, If I had to pick just one I'll keep MP Megs.

MP Megatron is very fragile, if you even try to transform it you're very likely to break something. Plus he has really weak joints, I used to have him with his cannon arm raised. Until he dropped one day and it hasn't been able to stay up since. The hips on mine are starting to go and I can barely even stand him up anymore. Plus there's tarnishing issue. Buster Prime all the way.

I say go with Buster Prime. When I first heard that MP OP and Megs are getting a reissue, I was planning to buy both. But then I heard about all the problems Megs has, and decided against it. I'll probably still buy MP OP, but Megs, I'll probably pass on.

As for Buster Prime, I do own him and he's a wonderful display piece. I haven't dared to transform him due to all that chrome, but even just in bot mode, he's worth the money.
