Hey everyone!

After getting the humble bundle earlier this last year I am catching up on all the IDW Transformers goodness. I can safely say that I preffer MTMTE. It's not just the writing, but more so the fact that it stays on a single (albeit large) cast of characters in a single space. RID/Transformers goes all over the place in space and time and it is tough for me to keep up when all I read before hand was All Hail Megatron. So I end up with a few questions that I will use this thread to ask and anyone who wants to answer is more than welcome and any answer is greatly appreciated.

I guess my most pressing question to start things off is the following:

What is up with that temporal prison they had Overlord in?

They say 5 seconds is half an hour but Red Alert keeps hearing overlord saying "kill me". Wouldn't he be unable to hear anything since the "kill me" would be said in slow motion?

Also, we get a cliffhanger of Overlord hanging underneath there in the prison and the next time I saw him, Chromedome was talking to him. Was there anything in between I might have missed?

Last thing about this, when Overlord leaves Chromedome inside the temporal prison, he tells him that 5 seconds will be a loooooooooong time. But it's just half an hour. Did Overlord not understand what was going on?


PS: Ok, other question: from the boards, it seems the DJD is a big deal but I only saw them breifly in MTMTE, are they more prominant characters elsewhere?

I can only answer about the DJD really but they are pretty much an invention of Roberts himself and then feature heavily later on. They are currently getting hyped up for their issue fifty confrontation with the lost light and the ultimate turncoat. ..Megatron. so their first introduction is pretty much that early part of MtMtE

Thanks! But with such little screen time, how did the Roller as Tarn rumour get established?

And thats cool, now I am pumped for issue 50!

Those rumours started with all the flashback parts that Roberts did and were aided with the mention of agent 113. I also think comments on twitter helped fan the flames

Time dilation is weird. Not sure on the "Kill me" bit. I think what Overlord means by a "long time" when speaking to Chromedome is that it's plenty long enough of an amount of time for him to kill everyone on the ship. I haven't read this arc in too long to remember if there's anything between the cliffhanger and his talk with Chromedome, sorry.

As for the DJD, I'd need to know how caught up you are before saying too much. Other than just being kind of cool, they do get more characterization later.

The guys with tinfoil hats probably really had a crazy day when most manufacturers starting using aluminum.

I mean, yeah, I probably need to re-work that/re-visit it to account for new material. Also seems it may be more of a theory for the 2017 Combiner Wars/Titans Return overarching brand event/theme now, as with issue 50 just around the corner, some of that would be a huge, now illogical jump. Off I go then!
