What's up. I was cruising the gallery and discovered something. say why is there no display for UN-09 Megatron (the classics mold that all silver metallic :BOWDOWN:

) along with the Classic and Henkei version?

I see 2 possibilities:

1. Ryan doesn't own that figure yet, so can't take pictures of it.

or

2. He owns it, but he just hasn't had time to take the pictures, or upload the gallery yet.

In both cases, patience he'll eventually get to it you can be almost sure of that.

As long as he isn't crass enough to clip the wings off of it, like everyone who gets the mold seems to do...

I don't, I think the wings actually add to his character.

Wings are held in by a pin behind his butt.

However It doesn't detract from the figure given the fact that most the other classic characters are not 100% reflective of their original toy/cartoon counterparts.

I do feel like its the most G1 Megs in my collection and looks good standing next to classics Starscream and Sonicron.

Also, I did get a KO of this mold at one time, and took the wins off of that one. Its no huge difference if the wings are the same color of the figure.

with the original mold, the wings were too distracting simply because of the color.

I'd highly recommend this figure that wants a g1 megatron in their classics collection. This is simply the best "officially licensed" megatron to get.

I haven't removed them either and actually clip them together to resemble the barrel on his back on his G1 self. Of course, that makes him mega-back-heavy, so he has to lean against the side of the bookcase. #-o

But it looks cool! :lol:

I prefer the wings, irregardless of color simply because of how much presence it grants him, especially for a somewhat smaller voyager. I absolutely love both molds of the Voyager Classics leaders just the way they are, and I tend to find myself alone in that regard since everyone who touches them has the desire to clip the kibble off, and to me it's that really make the figure.

I have the Classics and Henkei versions and I would have the United Megs already if I wasn't trying to avoid falling into an obsession :BANG_HEAD:

Sell your Henkei on ebay. I'll bet it'll fetch more than 70% of what you need to get a United version!

1: I wouldn't part ways with any version of the mold I got, I'm that in love with it (HELP ME!)
2: Despite my efforts to upkeep the chrome on him, I messed up the insignias on his gun BIG time, and covered them up with Reprolabels... which may have made the issue worse, so somehow I doubt I'll get much more than what I paid for him anyway
3: Even if I do ultimately go for another Megatron, I'd still like to have the PROPER Optimus counterpart to go with him.... and a United Deluxe Prime doesn't cut it

Yep, the Deluxe sucks in my opinion. The Voyager is a work of art though, especially the Henkei version, though the Hasbro version isn't bad at all.

Yeah, I agree with almost all of you. I had member of this great group of collectors and enthusiasts, (CYBERTRONZ ELITE)

(yeah, I'm plugging them every chance I get :grin:

) to pick me up a United Henkei version at Botcon. Even if I didn't have the Classics version to experiment with, I don't think I could bring my self to alter it at all.
