the order in which I got them as a kid

elementary school
1. Sound Wave (my 1st GI Joe was Zartan, I love the spies.)
2. Shock Wave (the last TF my parents got me)

(Moved to Japan, got them there, 4th~6th grade)
3. Thunder Cracker
4. Grimlock (my personal holy grail at the time)
5. Frenzy (bubble gum bonus toy model)

(back in USA, junior high~high school)
6. Monstructor Wild Fly
7. Pretenders Grimlock (to this day I love it)
8. Monstructor Slog

after this was my college years.

Awesome you got Soundwave 1st too

believe me I wanted the Frenzy pack really bad too, but Laserbeak was just a repaint of Buzzsaw so I said no. So my friend was nice enough to lend me Ravage which was GREAT! Now if it were a Frenzy & Ravage pack I would have jumped on that!!!

Ok you got me, so i have to put in my 2 cents worth.

1) soundwave - My grandma manage to get all the cassettes when she got him for me.
2) Shockwave
3) Prime
4) Grimlock
5) Thundercracker
6) Constructicons

I have many more, but cant remember the order i got them. I need to post pics of my recent G1 stuff i just found about a month or two ago.

1985 - Diaclone Starscream, Sideswipe
1986 - Breakdown, Octane, some sort of rubbery lego-like Sunstreaker
1987 - G.I. Joe
1988 - G.I. Joe, M.A.S.K., Lego
1989 - G.I. Joe
1990 - G.I. Joe, Mega Force, TMNT

Sadly, 1991 was the year that video games and comics got their hooks into me and I didn't care for toys for a very, very long time.

The only thing I remember is that I got Optimus Prime and Soundwave X-Mas 84 (or was it 85?) and Galvatron and Rodimus Prime X-Mas of 86.

Please. I barely remember high school. I certainly don't remember the order in which I acquired toys 25 years ago. It would go something like this:

~1984-1986: Transformers, GI Joe, MASK, Battle Beasts, MUSCLE, and others

~1987-2007: no toys

2007-present: lots of Transformers
