Repro labels/Fix ups
- Weapon: Fire-Fog Missiles
Hey i purchased repro label stickers lately and i wanted to know peoples opinion on them? would you say they are just as good as the original stickers? Or do they lessen the value of a figure since there not original :p

Re: Repro labels
They don't lessen value. Since Hasbro doesn't provide a replacement sticker service, Reprolabels are your best option.
Since they look better than most 25 year old stickers, collectors in general don't mind them on the figures since they help freshen up the look of the collection.
Actually, quite a few of the galleries on the site feature use of Reprolabels.

The quality is awesome. I've been using them since they first started and Aaron's process has come a long way.
As for reducing the value ... well it depends. Are you applying them for yourself or to on-sell the figure?
If they're for yourself, then only you know whether they increase the value or not.
If you're on-selling, it depends who the buyer is. There will be some "purists" out there who won't touch a figure with Reprolabels, but most people probably wouldn't care. If you're planning to on-sell though the one thing I can recommend is to make it known that the stickers are in fact reproductions and NOT the originals, else you might end up with the buyer coming back at you.

Sounds resonable, tbh ive bought them before and after reapplying them to a few lesser figures theyve really come back to life, i dont want to sell my collection down the road and nobody wants them because the stickers arent original. On that note, how would you recomend removing old stickers and cleaning your old bots?

Either Goo Gone or enamel paint thiner will dissolve the glue, though you may have to use a razor blade to peel off the top layer first.

Why does everyone suggest stuff that can hamr the plastic?
The safest and most effective way to remove excess adhesive before the application of new stickers is rubbing alcohol. It won't hurt the plastic and will provide a nice clean surface for sticker adhesion.

Rubbing alcohol with a lesser alcohol content to be exact and a bit of Pledge.

I'm fond of 91% alcohol. It gives a good clean surface.
Never heard of using Pledge before though.

I use Pledge on a lint free cloth to remove any goo stuck on the chrome parts.(That way I don't melt away the shiny on it)
Btw, quality wise, none tops reprolabels, though in some of their releases, maybe based on the use of a laser jet printer, there's like a horizontal streak marks on them. I hope in the future they can get rid of the marks.

I have never bought from them, but I might get some replacement stickers for my G1 OP I bought at BotCon.

I put some reprolabels on my old G1 Prime and Battletrap, they're awesome! I also regularly buy sets of Bot and Con logos (as well as rubsigns) to spruce up my classicsverse toys.

I've used paint thinner to clean every G1 toy I've got, and it's never once harmed the plastic.

Re: Repro labels/Fix ups
I love Reprolabels. I've bought plenty of stickers from them and not once have i been disappointed.
As for cleaning my figures. I just use alcohol to clean and remove glue from old stickers.
I use plastic polish and plastic cleaner to get clear and tinted plastic clean, for example, to remove scratches and scuffs from my Deluxe insecticon wings and it brings back the clarity.
I also use H2O2 to get rid of yellowing on white and coloured plastics. Works like a charm.

I just got my first order yesterday, and I love them! I bought the Classics Rodimus upgrade, and despite my using them on RTS BiS Rodimus, they have given the figure a new life. I really, really like this figure now, when before I found his general appearance kinda boring.
Decals stick great, you have a bit of play as you are placing them, and the look awesome.
The only thing that would be nice is a bit of a map - I had to stare at the spoiler for a few minutes before deciding which decals went where - I didn't want to screw it up!

My G1 Dinobots, Insecticons and two Ultra Magnus's have all have new stickers. Those with a general clean up and they look good as new... almost.
I also like their sets for the Classics figures and have used a couple of the Binaltech sets too.
No complaints.
